Resident Evil 2 Cheats: Unlock Infinite Ammo, Infinite Rocket Launcher, and Infinite Combat Knife

Resident Evil 2 cheats are available for the player but they have to be unlocked first. You can get the infinite ammo, infinite rocket launcher, and infinite survival knife by fulfilling certain conditions in the game.

Man that's rare to get unlockable cheats in a game now adays. Usually costs you a few bucks for that privilege.

Unlimited ammo and things like that were never put in RE games because you NEED them. They were put in for fun things to do once you beat the game. Like going into a horde of zombies guns blazing, which something you can't really do without infinite ammo.

Yup. I managed to get all the special unlocks in the original version but I don't see me doing that in the remake. Lol

Maybe they are going for a '80's underdog movie' type message to the gamer;

"You can get unlockable weapons with unlimited ammo....by getting S ranks on the harder difficulty settings...and thusly proving you dont need unlimited ammo...you never did, you had the strength within you all along."

Ha ha. but in all seriousness its a shame most gamers wont get a chance to enjoy these extras. I used to love running through the Dreamcast version of RE2 with the unlimited ammo on, it was a great stress beater, but back then it was just a cheat code you tapped in (UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, R Trigger).

We can only hope that one day they eventually patch that cheat code back in.

Glad to see that the minigun and rocket launcher make a come back thought they didn't exist in this one, but what's the point of unlocking them? After you unlock them you've done everything there is in the game so what's the point? Just for fun I guess but who cares. To me that's just dumb, rocket or minigun would be nice for hardcore run throughs.

I'm on the path for unlimited handgun ammo...but those others sound extremely taxing. Heck when Mr. X showed up in my game I hit a wall last night...trying to move those bookshelves in the library with him and zombies breathing down your neck is rough.
