Dan Clarke's GameStop manager told him that GameStop had a national conference call today that ordered all managers not to take returns any more and instead to direct gamers to amazon.com/support. When he went to GameStop, he saw a half dozen GHWT opened boxes behind the counter. He tried contacting Red Octane both as an average consumer and as a press member asking to see what can be done, and hasn't even received an email in the past 24 hours.
Activision and Red Octane did add to their FAQs stuff like "make sure you have fresh batteries" - the batteries included with their game weren't fresh?
[UPDATE: Glen Haag, co-founder of the site, adds: I'm having some minor guitar issues with GH:WT. The green button seems to stick and the star power activates automatically whenver obtained. It's certainly annoying, so I'm going to wait and see how the warranty issues resolve. I would tend to believe that Activision and Red Octane will work together to get a better solution in place soon.]
Sometimes, gaming soundtracks can introduce players to bands and artists they've never heard of. This article is all about Matt's five favorites, thanks for gaming.
Accompanied by Heidi Klum, Mr T, Robin Williams, and Jerry (who's suddenly a chicken), Dan takes a look at his favourite video gaming adverts of all time.
Unreality Mag writes: "It’s always fun to see something out of the ordinary when you’re playing a video game. Most times it comes in the forms of funny songs or a game glitch you didn’t expect. And sometimes the game will toss in a celebrity which might throw you off (meaning a good thing).
But here I wanted to focus on celebrities who appeared in games that weren’t so obvious. Games that didn’t really have a celebrity focus yet a celebrity appeared in that seemed almost random.
Here are 10 that I enjoyed the most."
This lt fails for not having Burt F*cken Reynolds from Saints Row the Third
Unless I am blind and didn't see him
Am I missing something or are they telling people to go to another shop to get support? Why don't we just buy it there and cut out the middleman?
The thing is, Activision and Red Octane went with the ultra-sensitivity for their controllers (drums and their pressure sensing, guitars and their fret strip) that most of the early manufactured instruments are just plain broken.
why is Gamestop telling pips to go to amazon.com/support? @_@
It was the same with rock band.
In the UK, the shop that i worked in were told not to accept returns, instead point them towards other shops.
I was listening in on a conversation in EBGames between a customer and employee and they said they can't take them because Activision hasn't told them what to do with them yet. YET!!!!!! That means something may be done.
