it would be nice if they add support to halo wars 2.

lxeasy2354d ago

That wouldn't surprise me if they do. Personally I want Xcom support.

slate912354d ago

To drop that kind of money, I would want all my games be m&kb compatible.

GtPawnSacrifices2354d ago

That’s just for the Razor set up. Pretty sure any cabled M&Kb will work too.
But as above, I too would be interested in Halo Wars 2 with M&Kb support.

That's what a premium mouse and keyboard costs these days. But as mentioned you can buy allot cheaper solutions. But often you get what you pay for...

Razer Turret for Xbox One Review

Neil writes: "The addition of the Razer Turret for Xbox One is perhaps the best temptation for any PC gamer wishing to cross the divide and come to the land of console gaming. After all, Razer owns the PC space, and that surely means they own the Xbox keyboard and mouse landscape too then?"

Looks nice. Price is a bit steep for me at the moment. Wait for a big price drop before i bite.

slate912271d ago

Hopefully the games that support m&kb on xbox grows to justify a $250 price tag

Razzer2271d ago

Doesn't look like the real estate for the mouse is large enough.

blacktiger2271d ago

the word real estate just broke comment of the year!

Tankbusta402271d ago

250 bucks for a mouse and keyboard????

sergons2271d ago

razer...overpriced piece of crap with average lifespan of three months.

Razzer2271d ago

Well....the keyboard is mechanical so automatically more expensive. But yeah.....still way too much. But they got that Xbox endorsement to pay for so...

PC users have had an advantage for a while, this levels the playing field if you can afford it

KaiPow2354d ago

Maybe this will help me actually win a match in PUBG..

Futureshark2354d ago

The grey area between Xbox and PC becomes greyer.

Razzer2353d ago

Let me install Windows and Visual Studio on Xbox and then we will be getting somewhere. :-)

Most competitive games that have confirmed support for keyboard and mouse have also said they plan to have separate matchmaking dedicated to k/m or controller users.

I think Gears 4 is the only major game that has cross platform competitive gameplay atm, and it started off as a beta thing before seemingly being underused or not too unbalanced at least (gameplay in it isn’t the same as a regular FPS however). I doubt Halo Infinite will be throwing controller users in that world day 1 either, and is more likely to stay that way too as the bunny hop shooters see a big boost compared to most other titles (controllers usually having jump defaulted to face buttons which requires you to either jump or change camera but not both at the same without changing to something like bumper jumping—or holding the controller really weird which some can train themselves to do but I’ll never even attempt).

slate912354d ago

But then you also have the elite controllers that allow you to jump and shoot without taking your fingers off of the sticks/face buttons.

Rude-ro2354d ago

You can do that without the elite or scuf type of controllers... you just might get arthritis though.

Cobra9512353d ago

Mouse+KB is a whole other level of advantage, in this kind of game. It only makes sense to segregate players based on input device.

Eldyraen2353d ago

Sticks are still sub par to Mouse too, especially once you add in auto aim (apparently Fortnite on consoles for example still has auto-aim even with mouse and keyboard).

So I was just giving one example. However, Elites fall into the “without changing things” section because you have to buy an extra controller and then still switch button mapping around. Same for any game, like Overwatch and some others, that have button swapping in game for any controller really.

Razzer2353d ago (Edited 2353d ago )

"separate matchmaking dedicated to k/m or controller users"

I'm thinking k/m lobbys will be a bit empty in that case. Vast majority will stick to controllers, imo.

drunkenspy0072354d ago

Who is this for? I mean, for the price of an xbox1x and this gear, you could by a comparable computer that would do a whole lot more.

Cobra9512353d ago

People will still buy the Xbox, whether you think it makes sense or not. That's who it's for.
