Orbital is the first Playstation 4 emulator currently under development, sees small progress

I have a Ps4 but still want emulation as it Will future proof me being able to play The games on pc hardware IF my Ps4 were to give up on me. It Will also enable higher resolution and more, so this is good News even IF its far into the future when we have moved on to other generations.

Oh stop, once the ps4 breaks then what? Sony has been so anticonsumer lately they try and force us to pay per game to use their emulators, why not just pop the disk in my pc if sony wants to be an ass? Look at ps4 hacks, you can make a PS2 Classic from pretty much any PS2 disk... I’m not going to buy those games twice.

You can always tell a systems getting old when they have an emulator for it.

Yeah it's been 5 years already I still remember picking up my console on launch does not feel like 5 years this generation has had so many high quality games that have aged way better than last gen .
I remember playing PS3 and 360 titles like crysis 3 at the 5 year mark that showed the consoles could barely handle it and running at 16 frames but games like rdr2 running smoothly is incredible

Last gen was pathetic anyway for a lot of reasons:

1.MS RRoD.
2. The transition was about graphics and most of the gen gameplay is suck.
3. Xbox Live cost money is start of all lameness.
4. Limitation of DVD made things a lot worse.
5. PS3 complicated stracture, had pushed away Japanese developers and made an great impact on JRPG genre, which was a failure genre.
6. Milking strategy started with Activision, Bathesda, EA and Capcom which lowered the standards.
7. EA ditched the catalouges, online passcode and DRM crap.
8. Releasing incomplete games with tons of bugs and glitches start and never stopped since then.
