Never got into it because of the fan-service. What's good about it?

Cajun Chicken2373d ago

It is ridiculously well animated and the whole soundtrack is great also, everything is concluded start to finish, brilliantly.

Eidolon2373d ago (Edited 2373d ago )

And the plot? I mean. I'm more about the plot and not the "plot" if you no what I mean. I like some good animation, but I.E. I got really into the latest Beserk despite its lackluster animations( after seen everything of it prior of course). I do think it can stand on it's own, though... But my point is, animation isn't everything. It's the plot, the voice acting, the atmosphere and pace. Kill-la-kill just seemed kinda... tryna be funny, but also very fan-servicey and super Japanesey. I love anime, but not a weaboo. I love Japanese culture, but not enough to pretend to like their humor THAT much. Spacy Dandy was AWESOME. Kill-La-Kill is just weird and unfunny to me.

I enjoyed the over the top action and the humor.

With most animes of that type you're going to get the fan service. Kill La Kill was actually pretty modest compared to a lot of other animes I've seen.

I see what you mean. I had my reservations about Kill la Kill at first because of the fan service. It is an incredibly barmy fighting anime but what I like is how even everything that didn't make sense or seemed plain stupid in the sbow has a reason in the grand scheme of things. In that respect, if you watch to the end, it is actually very well plotted and quite clever with very little foreshadowing.
