Prediction: Kingdom Hearts Sora Will Be In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

With a left-field pick in Joker from Persona 5 announced as the first DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the possibilities for the remaining 4 DLC fighters have just widen.
Going on a hunch (backed with sound reasoning), I believe Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series will be included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as one of the DLC packs.

There’s barely any Final Fantasy content in the game yet you believe Sora, a character Square Enix doesn’t even own, still has a chance to make it in? Geno has a better chance of making it in.

Sora wasn’t even in Dissidia NT, World of Final Fantasy Maxima or Wreck it Ralph 2 but you go on thinking he’ll be in Super Smash Bros Ultimate you go on believing that if it’ll make you feel better.

If joker from persona 5, a playstation exclusive however third party, is in the game then literally anyone can besides sony and mcsft first party. Kinda the reason why sora has a higher chance. And we know that Soras definately one of the highest requested characters.
Reggie himself said that theyre going with this very "noone would have ever thought this character would actually make it to the game" approach after jokers announcement.

Im not sure if soras in maxima but he is in the base game as a dlc character on the ps4 and vita. And dissidia is completely exclusive to final fantasy characters only, so obviously he wouldnt appear there... And wreck it ralph?.... Uhhh what? Only huge video game icons like mario and sonic appear there lol.

Solid Snake’s inclusion into SSB holds greater precedence than any other third party character that came after him since he was the first. Even then that doesn’t mean Sora has a higher chance just because other third party characters get into SSB.

For starters Square Enix doesn’t even feature him a lot in their crossovers because they don’t own him, and anytime they do he’s only available temporarily. All the other 11 announced third party characters are freely used in other crossovers by their publishers, Sora however is locked behind so much legal tape that it's just a miracle to see him appear in any Final Fantasy game.

Aside from that there’s so little Final Fantasy content within SSBU as it is. Only 2 music tracks, no items, no Assist Trophies, & no Spirits. With such little Square Enix content in the base game compared to content from the other third party publishers with playable characters, it’s absurd to think we’ll see more from them in DLC.

Sora WAS in WoFF, but like I said he was only temporarily available. Balthier in contrast is still available. Square Enix considers Kingdom Hearts a subseries of Final Fantasy, which is why Sora appeared in FF Record Keepers and soon FF Brave Exvius, so he’d still be an eligible candidate to appear in Dissidia NT.

Sora is a big gaming icon, and Disney owns him and all the original KH content so they wouldn’t have to pay any license to have him in. He could’ve been easily implemented into the movie, but Disney itself still has to cooperate with Square Enix on how they implement him hence why you don’t see Sora appear a lot even at Disney Land.

Sora already has such limited appearances in Disney’s and Square Enix’s own crossovers, and Final Fantasy itself already is the least represented third party franchise in SSBU. But if you still want to believe Sora has a chance despite the large amount of evidence that says he’ll have a harder time getting in, then go ahead.

If Disney couldn't work things out with Netflix on their Marvel shows. I don't think even Sakurai can work his magic and get Sora in Smash Bros. I never got into KH so I don't have a fight in the matter regardless of the outcome.

That's completely different. Disney wanted their characters for their streaming service. Disney stepped out the gaming realm a few years back (which is why different publishers obtain certain brands I.e Sony with Spider-Man and EA with Star Wars.

I know. They dropped out after Disney Infinity 3. But when it comes to Sora he is barely used outside of the KH games.

I know that Goku has been requested a LOT. Funimation even tweeted a "Challenger Approaching" image with a Goku outline asking Nintendo, " Hey Nintendo, When's our boy Goku going to join the fight?".

I think that he's wanted so much, that people don't actually expect him to appear. If he does, I think it will be as Kid Goku(or Son Goku). Kid Goku would fit much better IMO. He'd be more equal power wise and I think he really looks the part. Imagine his Final Smash being his signature headbutt he used on Piccolo or turning Ape mode.

Final Fantasy characters are always wanted. I think that they'll add another character from FF7 to go with Cloud, eventually. I would guess it to be Vincent Valentine. They'd add another marksman to the game, but he has superhuman strength with claws on his gauntlet. He definitely has something in common with Castlevania characters with the dark origins and scientific experimentation/alterations done to him. His Final Smash would easily be one of his several monster transformations.
