I hope Nintendo announces more than just this at the awards show.

deafdani2382d ago

I would be perfectly happy if they announced just this, TBH. To date, Nintendo hasn't made a big reveal on the Game Awards, ever. At least not that I recall.

Of course, I would be even happier if they announced this and then followed it with a trailer for Metroid Prime 4.

Bayonetta 3?
Not made by nintendo but published by them?

Hey, don't be knockin' on our man, Cranky Kong. /s

deafdani2381d ago

@Razmiran: shit, I'd completely forgotten about that one. Which was right after the announcement of the Bayo 1 & 2 Switch ports, if I recall. Good call.

Here's hoping they do a repeat of that this year and announce the Prime Trilogy for Switch followed by a first trailer for Metroid Prime 4, then!

EddieNX 2382d ago

Still some of the best games ever made imo. This is what the Switch needs before MP4 comes.

deafdani2382d ago

I hope it's true. I'd buy the shit out of this.

CorndogBurglar2381d ago

Me too! I only played Metroid Prime 1. So I feel like I need this before 4 comes out.

Sirk7x2381d ago

Prime 2 is amazing, and notoriously difficult on the Gamecube. They lessened the difficulty on the Trilogy version. Play it on hard if you want an experience more like the original.

ConsoleFanboy2382d ago

It would be great to see the trilogy show up tomorrow at the Game Awards!

kevnb2382d ago

I would love to play 3 without the motion controls, I just can’t stand motion controls for anything more than occasional input.

Snookies122381d ago

I mean, that's fair and all, but Prime 3's controls on Wii were really solid. One of the only examples of solid controls I'd come across on the system.

Venoxn4g2381d ago

I think first Conduit, Red steel 2, Medal of honor heroes 2, 007 Goldeneye remake had good controls when it comes to shooters

JackieDrunken2381d ago

Resident Evil 4 was great with wii controls in my opinion. Intense!

Venoxn4g2381d ago

why not have both options? plus i really loved motion controls on the trilogy

kevnb2381d ago

Sure why not have the option for those that want it.

Metroid Prime 4 is vaporware at this point

Zeldafan64156d ago

That's why it got a trailer last year

PRIMORDUS156d ago

Maybe it will happen after Metroid Prime 4 launches. Put Metroid Prime 2 & 3 on Switch and Switch 2.

Metroid Prime: The Story So Far - Everything You Need To Know Before Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

"Metroid Prime Trilogy, the Wii compilation of Retro Studios' first-person take on the Metroid series, launched in North America on 24th August 2009, exactly 15 years ago.

In honour of that sparking release (well, a little less sparkling than the originals in some places due to a few missing effects), we're taking the opportunity to recap Samus' story so far in the Metroid Prime games while we wait for the fourth numbered entry..." - Ollie Reynolds | NintendoLife

my most anticipated game.
just started playing the Trilogy on WiiU again (love the motion controls with wiimote)
amazing series!

Neonridr291d ago

if they aren't going to remaster all 3 titles prior to 4, it would have been nice if they just gave us a bare bones Switch port of the Wii U Trilogy. Thankfully I own that so I can still replay all 3 before 4 comes along.

all 3 titles remastered would be awesome.
i would still miss the motion controls though :(
