NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti unable to run Just Cause 4 with 60fps on Very High/Max settings in 4K

Nvidia know how to wind buyers up big time, many people thought that the 2080Ti was taking the slot of the Titan line, hence the high price. Now a new Titan has been revealed at an even more insane price.

Really glad i didn't buy into this gen of trash, ray tracing is obviously too early on these cards too. 7nm should fetch us some decent prices next year hopefully with AMD being more competitive.

They won't get anywhere near these cards for the price of a console. Next gen they just need to focus on 60fps as the standard.

PS5 and XB4 are most likely 2019 / 2020 / 2021 consoles. Those consoles are not going to be getting $200 - $250 GPUs that are comparable to NVIDIA's current top end, at best you can expect performance similar to a Vega 56 or 64 only if the consoles cost $499, which is still a good GPU, but not 4k @ 60fps on all games good.

@Abizzel1, my only hope is that high end GPU's are so overinflated right now because of crypto mining, hopefully Sony and MS can get their exclusive GPU's for a fraction of the cost of what we get at retail.

These articles should really start reading, "Developers do not optimize games and even the highest end hardware cannot run the game at a stable 60 fps on the highest settings."

Which frankly is fine because in 1-2 years the game will keep looking better as people upgrade their rigs. Just stop expecting max settings and 60 FPS and life will improve drastically.

More like "Developers can't always reach the ridiculously high goal of filling 497,664,000 pixels per second on demanding 3D games." Pick 60 fps as the goal. Pick 4K as the goal. Don't pick both at the same time. Even on PC, the sweet spot right now is 1440p, not 2160p.

No surprise the 3rd was unplayable on the PS4 at launch. Avalanche is so sloppy, I cant even imagine how broken Rage 2 is gonna be now that they partnered up with Bethesda.

I'm the owner of a 2070 and honestly it's slightly underwhelming unless NVIDIA decide to release some magical patch to unlock more resources it's nothing amazing overall.

I mean it's good overall in many ways it's a 1080 equivalent really but the 20 series should have been more they should have called it the 1180 and waited for a major leap forward before using the 20 moniker

Basically avoid the 20 range unless you need a card and get a great deal my 2070 cost the same as a new 1070 through the black friday sales.

It's a marketing thing. The high digit got a bump every gen while model numbers were in the 100's. 1080 ->1180 almost looks like same gen with enhancements. They wanted that high digit to get the bump. I imagine next gen will be in the 3000's.
