Assassin’s Creed Is Coming To Reverse: 1999

In an unusual pairing, Assassin’s Creed Is Coming To Reverse: 1999.

Seth_hun33d ago

What the hell is Reverse 1999? :)

goken33d ago

Apparently it’s some Gacha thingy…

Kekewei33d ago

Why is it listed as today's hottest, nobody cares about it here...

Servbot4133d ago

Ubisoft buying their way to the top. They always have the shittiest advertisement ideas, like flooding videos and comment sections with obvious bots.

Garethvk32d ago (Edited 32d ago )

I think it is more of a global appeal versus a U.S. market.

Garethvk32d ago (Edited 32d ago )

Obviously they do or there would not be the hits on it. Even Google picked it up for their news feed.

The Open-World Genre In Gaming Has A Quantity Over Quality Problem

More developers need to focus on what makes open-world games like Elden Ring and RDR2 pop, instead of focusing on needless map expansions.

KyRo280d ago

Open world games need a overhaul in general.

Go here - kill this target
Go here - fetch this
Clear this camp
Add dozens of filler side quests
Tack on a RPG skill tree
Finish up with a couple of hundred collectables

98 percent of open world games follow this game design and it's boring now after nearly a decade of following this same design.

anast280d ago

Maybe they know what it takes to make an engaging open-world, but they won't. For most publishers, managers probably get bonuses for finding ways to cut corners.

IAMRealHooman280d ago

yes. Every ubisoft like is overly large map. just to say it's huge with nothing in it.
Love'em or hate'em a yakuza game is a significantly smaller map, with a lot of side activities and absurd quest lines.trying the different restaurants in game can be enjoyable as they offer different buffs, do that or make traversal so good you wouldn't dare fast travel ie Spiderman

YourMommySpoils280d ago (Edited 280d ago )

Stellar Blade says hello.

The only quality game to come out this year.

exputers280d ago

While true, that one's not a full open-world. Pretty much like God of War Ragnarok.

YourMommySpoils279d ago

Not sure how everyone judges this. If that's the case, that would mean even The Witcher 3 isn't open world and just semi maps slowly unlocked.

jznrpg33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

Was with you until the only quality game part. Plenty of great games this year. It also came out last year

jznrpg33d ago

Some are great some are not. That’s the same for any genre. There are tons of Metroidvania’s, some are great some are not, souls games etc etc

Where the Heck is Ni No Kuni 3, Mun?

Matt from We Game Daily writes: "Cross Worlds isn’t going away. It’s making a small fortune, particularly in Asian markets, so there’s no reason for Level-5 to pull the plug. That said, there’s no real reason why a full PC/console sequel can’t be developed alongside efforts to support Cross Worlds."

While Ni no Kuni 3 would be cool, if it was like the first game, where is Dark Cloud 3 and Rogue Galaxy 2?

phoenixwing507d ago

I thought the dev recently went mobile and Japan only. They shut down their American offices. So don't expect anything for consoles

shinoff2183507d ago (Edited 507d ago )

I swear they just announced a few new games.

https://www.nintendolife.co...

phoenixwing507d ago

I stand corrected then. Never heard about these games and also i just remember ni no kuni online being mobile only.

Michiel1989506d ago

they said a loooooong time ago that Level 5 was working on a new installment but there has been no news since afaik. I just hope that they take more inspiration from 1 than 2, especially when it comes to the story.

thorstein506d ago

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds is the mobile game you're thinking of.

It looks amazing but I don't like to play mobile games.

Yeah the sequel was okay but had nothing on the first game, especially the battle system.

The story just didn't have that charm and even the twist at the end of the game wasn't really anything cool like Wrath of the White Witch.

Also the fact there was like ZERO mention of Oliver or his adventures in the game, no references, nothing was such weird. It's set a hundred or so years after but still, I'd have expected to seen some throw backs. I think we just got like a temple with his statue in it or something.

goldwyncq506d ago

If you want more Oliver, just watch the movie.

nowh91d ago

i mean.. the second games gives us his clothes but thats it, what i dont understand is that if its set 100 years after the first game how the hell does mornstar exist? in the movie it showed that the wand and sword were the same weapon but we see evan was the one who forged it

shinoff2183507d ago

Fking word. I've been hoping for this for quite some time.

melons506d ago

The premium games didn't sell amazingly, right?

shinoff2183506d ago

Not to sure. They should of though. They were pretty good. I like both.

Michiel1989506d ago

yeah, especially outside of japan. They should have released on pc at the same time as the ps3 version or a short time after.

Inverno506d ago

They should've worked with Ghibli to put out a proper movie. Should've also made a Pokemon-esque spin-off rather than make Yokai Watch. If they do make a third game they gotta work with Ghibli!
