CG writes: German developers CrazyBunch resurrect iconic adventure character Larry Laffer into the modern age with Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Don’t Dry. The last game Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded launched on June 27th 2013 so a long time coming. Before getting into specifics, for those wondering, the title is a spin on another wacky game called D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die which we’ll assume CrazyBunch are fans of. Obviously, the title hints at the base humour consisting of sexual overtones, innuendo and vulgarity. However, the game doesn’t take itself too seriously despite aiming at “mature” audiences and if you are seeking a pure sex game then look elsewhere.
"The Germany-based indie games developer Assemble Entertainment and Chinese video game publisher WhisperGames are today very happy and proud to announce that they have just signed-up for a strategic long-term business partnership between the two companies". - Jonas Ek, TGG.
VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is not the heralded return the fabled Larry Laffer deserved. Sure, reclaiming the original's point-n-click template and recouping the letterhead from his noxious nephew suggests better prospects for the series' future. It seems like these traits alone fooled CrazyBunch into thinking one of gaming's greatest swingers was already in top shape. But between the writing that's too often puerile and gameplay too often unengaging, Larry's going to be spending many a lonely night lest he up his game."
William writes: "Ultimately, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Die on Xbox One has put me in a bit of a sticky situation. The game itself is stuffed with appealing elements, but the technical issues and high asking price currently hold it back from being a definite recommend. There is a ton for fans of the series and newcomers to enjoy, but like Larry himself, it's not for everyone."
