The 'Red Dead Redemption 2' review embargo lifts tomorrow, and when it does I'll tell you my opinion about the game. Here are some of the biases that will inform that opinion.
Today, Korean developer Shift Up, known for Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, announced its financial results for Q1 of 2025
Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution launches summer 2025 on modern platforms—20 years after its original development was shelved.
Glad they didn't change the art style. This is looking good.. Why did they change the way the characters look anyway? The very first style was kind of ok, it was fine by Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse.. both in game sprite and the dialogue popups, why keep changing it? I am not as fussed on her newer look. She's looking kinda too dark or sunburnt now.
Today, Marvelous Entertainment announced its financial results for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2025.
I didn't even know Farmagia was a Marvelous game, I wish we could get that Senran Kagura S7ven game, but Sony/Playstation pretty much killed any chance of that happening.
"I am a white man, and most of the main characters in this game are white men. It's easier to identify with people that look like you."
I respect this comment more than any other in the list. I just wish people were as honest with themselves and we would have less "There shouldn't be a woman in Battlefield 5 because women didn't fight in ww2." or "Black Stormtrooper? Damn SJW's."
People like games, when possible, with characters that they can identify with. Doesn't mean anyone's shoving it down people's throats, it just means we can all be represented. It's adding, not subtracting.
