"s you'll already know if you've read our review, we really liked Super Mario Party. It's a fun return to form that not only packs in loads of new mini-games but also offers fresh new ways to play, including a mode which uses two Switch consoles at once.
However, one element of the package which isn't all that impressive is the online mode. In the video above, our resident video host Alex runs through the reasons why Super Mario Party's online functionality is, well, a bit naff."
The Mario Party franchise is one of Nintendo's most successful IPs, but the last two games have put the next title's success in jeopardy.
The last one on the switch was the best one I've played since the gamecube gamed. What's this about
Last one was pretty good, I think the next one should have more maps from the GC era though. The N64 maps are boring.
Daily Video Game writes: "This weekend, Amazon is offering big price cuts on several action-adventure, RPG, shooter, and simulation games across multiple gaming platforms right now!"
Daily Video Game writes: "Today, eShop has just kicked off a Multiplayer sale, offering steep discounts on several popular multiplayer titles for Nintendo Switch gamers right now!"
If it extended to board games people would quit unless there's a suspension system.
Yeah, i have to agree with this article. For the Nintendo Switch to be a 9th gen console the online is severely lacking. Its a bummer. We knew it was comming i just figured it would have been much better.
They missed a huge chance to get this game online with full matches. (anybody who says it can't be done obviously hasn't played a game like Civilization or Fortune Street, hell even Table Top Simulator)
Not to mention all the features missing from the game (can't go over 20 turns on three of the four maps, with the fourth only getting to 30, can't turn off bonus stars, no handicap, no Pro Controller or Handheld mode support), small maps, light on core content (four small, bland maps total), lackluster side modes, etc.
It's a step in the correct direction for the core gameplay but this isn't the debut game for a relaunched franchise that you want. Play Mario Party 1 through 7 or DS if you want a great Mario Party experience.
