10 Years Ago This Month: EA CEO John Riccitiello gets into the spooky spirit of the season by promising the publisher would be an unstoppable game-cancelling machine.
So EA is usual EA Not surprising
EA being EA, but am still looking forward to Anthem. That game shows lots of potential.
i agree with you. unfortunately for your disagrees, its cool and trendy to hate on EA now so no matter what good they do from here on out, the petty elitists will just troll. gone are the days of open minds and reasonable people.
Key words, "shows lots of potential." While that it does, at the end of the day, I am highly suspect of it and think it's going to be nothing more than a month long adventure w/ and w/o friends. Anything more is a bonus. I think that potential is going fall short of where it should stand. But at the end of the day, despite being an EA game, I too am definitely looking forward to it. Though I will always be disturbed, annoyed and PO'd about them closing Visceral Games.
I agree with you imma buy the game but as soon I smell Destiny like practices I never again in my life buy another EA or Activision, bungie game.
They already killed all my favorite Franchises so forget EA
Dead Space, Titanfall, Dante's Inferno, are some of the few that deserved better.
yeah. never give them an opportunity to ever try to make something good ever again. everyone must do what each of us want individually or else....
But Titanfall was and is a great game..the only thing is that people actually tended to ignore this microtransaction free game while they kept complaining about the ones who are full of them but decided to buy those instead of Titanfall...so it's kinda the fault of the consumer for showing them that microtransactions are the future.
Maybe not everyone was interested in multiplayer focused wall running futuristic FPS games with Mechs. I thought it looked cool but had no interest in getting either game. Not to mention EA barely promoting it like those other games and it never gaining a steady following of fans (playing, streaming, watching, etc..). No one bought those other games because they support microtransactions, they were more popular franchises with a lot more marketing dollars behind them. I had no interest in Battlefront 2 after the first was screwed up but I got it on sale for under $20 later specifically so my nephews who love Star Wars everything would be able to enjoy it's offline modes considering the first was pretty barren offline. Although I wish they had Walker Assault offline like the first because my nephews still play it almost as much as the new one just for the large scale battles in big open maps. I honestly can't think of a single person I know irl or online that was into Titan Fall and it certainly didn't look like a bad game at all. Imo there are just too many good/great online games these days with some putting content out for years. I can't count how many games this gen looked fun and enjoyable that I have ignored or not played because I simply don't have the time or money to invest in them all. I have drastically cut back on buying games the last year or two and still have a backlog I will never finish or have time to even get into some of the games even though I had every intention to do so.
EA's gonna EA
EA games = pink slime.
(E)bol(a). A virus that kills.
EA can burn with ET for all we care;)
Fk EA That thumbnail made me angry. I got so much love for Dead Space 😨
Well color me surprised...
D(EA)D as in pretty much everything worthwhile that they come up with.
I wonder how many people leave a bad comment about EA on the internet then precede to buy one of their games right after...
I went a lot of years without buying an EA game, There last sale was pretty huge and was able to buy original price $100+ All DLC games for $20 so that's why if you're really asking.
Haven't bought an ea game since nfs rivals in 2013 apart from burnout paradise remaster.
I only bought Burnout Paradise remaster (best release they have this gen) and Mass Effect Andromeda at a bargain bin price after all the patches were made. For me those were the only things worth supporting. Especially after the shit they pulled with Command & Conquer mobile and shelved Fight Night. I'd sooner support Activision than them.
I used to really like and respect EA. Where are the games like Dead Space, Dante's Inferno, and burnout? Stop with the money grubbing, and make good games again.
I was good with them until they shut down visceral just because they were making a single player game.
Yeah, I'll never understand that. They hired Amy Hennig, famous for her linear action-adventure single player games, and then choked her and ultimately closed the studio because they apparently didn't want her to make a linear action-adventure single player game. WTF were they thinking?
EA: These developers are great, lets buy them. Buys dev team, team makes great game, EA casualises it's sequels and adds monetisation, series fails due to EA decisions, shuts team down. Rinse, repeat. EA: Why are all the teams we buy failures after one big game? It can't be our fault. Hunts down more dev teams. Just die already, or go and punt your bullshit on mobiles only.
Unfortunately the they will get away with it with FIFA since they have the license. If FIFA were not equally corrupt scumbags themselves, gamers would actually have a chance of persuading them to offer licenses to multiple developers rather than have it exclusive to EA.
Play PES. There are options, and ones without cheating algorithms to skew matches.
EA is like a freaking hard RPG Additional boss that have almost no benefit on defeating him. I don't what does that even mean, but screw EA.
EA's business model is quite simple, buy out the competition and attain their copy righted game assets so they can control the "fun" in the market.
10+ years ago while playing ssx tricky and fight night on ps2 against my son I'm pretty sure I was thinking if I'm still alive these 2 games will be amazing in 10 years time on new hardware.... Who knew? Atb
EA used to be great back then. How times change.
Rest in Peace Issac Clark :(
EA the only company dumb enough to run itself face first into the ground and still thinks it's a smart move
I get sick of these apologists on here. Anthem does not look like a great game. It is Destiny with robots. But the game has not come out yet? You can't judge it. EA might do something good, then the consumers will get a knife in the back. Do I need to show examples of this? lol
Biff us a bone give us dead space 4 man
EA Games: Cancel Everything
well, let's avenge visceral games and kill EA, shall we?
Wow. That hand. We know what it means...
it really is sad that EA has shown such arrogance in supporting their customers and considers us all ignorant, but then people still want to stand by them when they release 1 game out of 100 that may not be plagued by EA's "moral" compass. That is called being a sheep and has nothing to do with "trended" hate.
