Update: Nintendo Switch DLC Only Accessible With Online Subscription Bug

In my gentle swaying through the internet, I came upon an interesting little tidbit on Reddit in regards to the newest feature that the Nintendo Switch has, its’ online subscription. Whether or not people agree with the new service, as it was a previously free arrangement between Nintendo and its’ gamers, the fact remains is that it’s here to stay.

Figured it was a glitch. I have friends that don't have the NSO not run into this problem. I've also seen YouTubeer's like Spawnwave make DLC purchases without a subscription as he tested it. Whenever you launch something new there are unintended outcomes that can occur.

So like always, N4G outraged for nothing huh?

TekoIie2452d ago

Wouldn't be N4G if that didn't happen every single time would it?

yeah, and now nintendo will "correct" the "glitch"
saved at the last second ninty?

Segata2452d ago

Except my friends were downloading DLC and I just sold the Xenoblade 2 DLC to a person as well who didn't have NSO and were able to download it just fine. This wasn't a widespread thing but isolated to 1 incident. It's sad how everyone thinks there is some conspiracy. Conspiracy theorists are typically idiots to refuse to accept the truth and make a fantasy that something is out to get something/someone. Grow up.

I sense similar success with Lost Soul Aside and Phantom Blade Zero.

Phantom Blade looks great. I’ve seen less of Lost Soul Aside but I hope it’s good as well. If the games are good like Stellar Blade and WuKong then they will sell.
