Philips, the electronics company behind the ill-fated Philips CD-i, has responded to fan requests for a classic, miniature version of the console. Amazingly, it looks like it could actually happen.
someone asked for this?
So they can burn it is my guess.
The internet is so mean, this has to be a troll of high magnitude. I just hope some poor out of touch soul at Philips doesn't takes this seriously and gets all excited.
For the love of God, let this console stay dead. I don't want to witness the horrible "The Legend Of Zelda" again.
"well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuse me Princess..."
Lmao! Well hell, since we're asking for useless things how about an Atari Jaguar classic?
I actually refeared that one, since getting games for it is really hard and emulation sucks, so one Atari Jaguar Mini with the possibility to change games like the Nes mini, would be great.
...well, I stand corrected...
Jaguar CD games might be playable as the system would actually work then. I wouldn't buy it, but that would make more sense than a CDi plug-and-play.
WTF that would be terrible, better buy the original console since it reads originals and backups with no mod, just burn and play.
Lol, I'd rather have a 3DO mini. I feel like I was the only person that had that console. Road Rash (the best version) and Mad Dog were very fond memories from my childhood.
I had one, I was told by a store employee it was a popular console but then I wasted all my hard earned money. It did have a few good games, though.
from article - "Although not developed by Nintendo itself, a Super Mario game called Hotel Mario was released, as were three Legend of Zelda titles - Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda's Adventure. These were all met with mixed reviews, with many still believing the games to be inferior to Nintendo's own to this day." Here's a better question, who wouldn't fall into the "many" category?
Some believe that you can make any statement you want as long as you attribute it to "some", "many", or "others". Many believe this is not true, but there are others, like some, who believe it to be so.
I guess that statement covers their butts in case there is that one person out there who honestly believes that Wand of Gamelon is the best Zelda game out there :P
I'm more curious with the Mixed Reviews remark. What was mixed about them, horrible, terrible, a gawd damn travesty?
lol, that too. Nothing good about those pieces of shite :P
I'm looking forward to those Classic Zelda titles that are total forgotten gems. Best in the series.
Sod it, I’d buy it. Go for it Philips
I want an N-Gage classic, who do I tweet?
This system has hardcore fans? WTF?
This console wasn’t a classic
Gee it sure is boring around here. Phillips should make another CDi so we can have some fun. :)
I remember the CDI product display demos being the soul root cause for me not ever wanting to own one. The game library was shite and those horrid, horrid Zelda games that looked like some sort of deviant art-fan version. Oh the days when anything with a CD somehow meant better.
