Review - Capcom Beat 'em Up Bundle (PS4) | Way Too Many Games

WTMG's Leo Faria: "This Capcom Beat 'em Up Bundle impressed for unexpected reasons. I went full on board for games like Final Fight and (to a lesser extent) Captain Commando, but lesser known titles like Knights of the Round and The King of Dragons were the titles I had the most fun with."

i like how they are already giving away the rating in the headline - way too many games that are not worth the time and money. thanks for the heads up ;-)

Retroman2042d ago

In your reality not worth the time and money.

But old school gamers we been waiting for years get our hands back on beat em ups.

Retro Gaming Steam Highlights June 2020

Carl Williams writes, "Here are some fun pieces of retro gaming on sale with Steam right now. For those that do not know, this time of year is the annual Summer Sale. Tons of games go on sale for two weeks or so. For fans of older titles though, this can make it hard to find them. I am going to try and help with that a bit."

5 Must-Have Arcade-Style Shooters & Beat’em Ups On The Nintendo Switch

Adam Vale of The Koalition writes: The Nintendo Switch surprisingly has become my go-to console for playing two of my favorite genres, arcade-style shooters and straight to the point beat’em ups. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a strong dialogue-heavy adventure/action game but more often than not, I just want to jump in a game to shoot bad guys and do some over the top fisticuffs.

Unbelievable the Switch has sold 400k in two weeks in Japan 0_o

Switch is the perfect console for Nintendo I wouldn't be surprised if their next gen console in 4-5 years is just a Switch 2

Geobros1959d ago

Yeah!! December will be very hot for Switch in Japan. It is possible to have 1,000,000 consoles sold in one month.

blawren41959d ago

I hope they never ditch the hybrid console aspect.

Neonridr1959d ago

Nintendo literally "smashed" the competition. Over 1.2 million copies of Smash in one week. 280k Switches sold making it almost 500k in the past 3 weeks alone. PS4 actually did really well too, 75k is no slouch of a sales number.

13 of the 20 titles in the list belong to the Switch, including the top 6 spots. Almost every title that charted for Nintendo was an exclusive too.

Lime, where you at buddy.. I miss your comedy.

Literal_Cringe1959d ago

He's been missing for around a month now, i noticed because he stopped sending me constant hourly PMs about how bad the Switch is.

EddieNX 1959d ago

MIA since he realised the Switch is brilliant and it's selling phenomenaly.
He's probably made a new account called 80"sNintendoGamer haha

Literal_Cringe1959d ago

He's back, he just sent me like 3 PMs on how GoW won Goty and Smash selling a few hundred units short of MonHun World is a bad thing.

ZeekQuattro1959d ago

Don't worry I'm sure he'll peak his out when RE2 and KH3 drops. Until then it's hard for even him to spin this negatively for Nintendo. Not even a price cut and Spider-Man bundled in for free was enough for the PS4 to win a week in Japan and we all know how Lime used to drone on and on about that game for weeks. Lol

Lime1231957d ago

Smash had best first week ever for Nintendo game outside of Pokemon and still it's worse than first week for Monster Hunter World on PS4.

Pokemon Let's Go first week worse than FFXV (PS4 version), DQXI (PS4 version) and MHW (PS4 version).

After first 21 months Switch is behind DS, 3DS, Wii and GBA in Japan.

Neonridr1957d ago

wait what? MHW isn't even an exclusive, so congrats.

Again, you are bragging against games that aren't exclusive. Yet which of the games you listed will sell the most?

Splatoon 2 sold more than MHW, how does that make you feel?

Skankinruby1959d ago

Never in my life will I understand the appeal of these games, no surprise by these numbers Japan clearly adores Nintendo

EddieNX 1959d ago (Edited 1959d ago )

Lol. Try and play smash Bros ultimate, you will soon get "the appeal" if the game. It's the best fighting game there is.

It's more of a hardcore game than most of the multiplat trash that releases nowadays.

Sirk7x1959d ago

I love Smash, but best there is is subjective lol. People will say the same about Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

notachance1959d ago

well I tell you one thing, I've never been a fan of fighting game but this one I just can't stop playing.
It's pretty accessible to newcomers like me.. although I suspect I'll have my ass kicked hard if I try to go online

King_Noctis1959d ago (Edited 1959d ago )

You are talking as if Smash is a niche title or something. Smash is also number one in the UK and it is most likely to be number one is the US as well.

CrystalFantasy31959d ago

According to birthrate data from the last decade we can see its the complete opposite

michellelynn09761959d ago (Edited 1959d ago )

Smash is gonna be an evergreen title as well. That's the scary part. This game isn't done by a long shot.
Also, Pokemon Let's Go already passed a million, so that's more great news as well.

Sirk7x1959d ago

There's going to be a point where the Switch will need a really nice price drop to become appealing to people that don't already own one. That will also boost software sales significantly, because there are titles like Smash, and Zelda, which almost every Switch owner will eventually purchase.

michellelynn09761958d ago

I think one will happen late next year.
