Couldn't it also just be an expansion for TES Legends? They wouldn't be trademarking the name for TES VI yet when Starfield is still a few years away.

Razmiran28d ago

You got downvoted but this is probably it
Or something for Elder scrolls online

"They wouldn't be trademarking the name for TES VI yet when Starfield is still a few years away"

I disagree you can trademark anything at any time. If they like the name then there's little reason to wait until closer to release.

Kabaneri28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

It would make sense since the trailer seemed to indicate the game takes place in Hammerfell/High Rock. Regardless I doubt we will get this before 2022.

G3ng4r28d ago

If this indicates VI takes place in hammerfell the game could be in development for close to another decade. Could be wrong but I believe es ii: daggerfall still has the largest game world in existence.

JEECE28d ago

Pretty sure you are right about that, other than games like no man's sky/Elite dangerous. However, I don't think there's any chance they will try to replicate that.

bluefox75528d ago

Well, if we're going count procedurally generated games in "the largest game worlds", wouldn't a game like No Man's Sky take the crown?

notachance28d ago

my guess is 2024, they'll release Starfield for next gen in 2020 and then TES VI 4 years later

porkChop28d ago

I've been saying March 25, 2024. The series' 30th anniversary. Todd Howard says he knows the release date of TES VI, and that's the only date that would stand out this many years away.

Mr_cheese28d ago

I am looking forward to the official story/ gameplay reveals for this game!

G3ng4r28d ago

Still waiting for the cannon ending of skyrim even, though we've already put together that ulfric won before skyrim was conquered.

-Foxtrot28d ago

Rather see the chosen city/region be the name of the game.

Never understood why they went for Oblivion for Elder Scrolls IV when you had Daggerfall, Morrowind and now Skyrim

G3ng4r28d ago

No place in elder scrolls is called daggerfall, but you were close.

Dragonscale28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

No place in elder scrolls eh, hmmm. 'The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall is a fantasy open world arpg developed and published by Bethesda Softworks and released in 1996 for MS-DOS'. Google is your friend lol.

-Foxtrot28d ago

LOL

Daggerfall is one of the eight major kingdoms in the region of High Rock

I said above

"Rather see the chosen city/region be the name of the game"

Keywords

"city/region"

I'll take my L here. Good day.

That was my point...

"Never understood why they went for Oblivion for Elder Scrolls IV"

cyber_daemonx28d ago

@fox, because of the oblivion gates probably. Also because oblivion sounds better than cyrodiil.

Movefasta199328d ago

Marketing perhaps? Oblivion sounds cool.

EmperorDalek28d ago

Elder Scrolls IV: Cyrodiil... Doesn't have as much of a ring to it.

Great, another game title with "fall" on the end of it. Not enough of those.
