I truly wish they would remaster this game for console. It's still my favorite gta map & soundtrack

Skuletor2441d ago

Didn't they remaster it on the Xbox 360 and PS3? I remember they released it on disc looking slightly different last gen.

SkippyPaccino2441d ago

I bought it for ps4 and it's the ps2 port of the game. I still replayed it for the trophies, just wish they remastered it in hd. I love the map because it felt like you were in a State. Going from city to city gave you purpose to drive around compared to gta 5 (now I'm driving in the city, now I'm driving out the city... Etc)

They remastered it for smartphones and ported the Android version to consoles and sold it.

Basically they screwed the remaster and took away the heart and soul of the game. You're much better off playing the original with its graphical blurs that mask the imperfections once that was removed the hd version looked ugly and lost the harsh orange Californian sun soak look

Im not tryna turn you into a PC gamer but a basic laptop from 2007 can run this game in HD to the point where you will notice pictures on the wall that you didnt before. Not to mention the higher framerate makes it run like butter. This game is dirt cheap on PC and can run on a potato.Make a steam account for free hook up your Ps4 controller via usb cable and have at it GTA San Andreas HD

SkippyPaccino2441d ago

I have a decent enough pc to run the game well, but I'm not much of a PC gamer. The only things I like playing on PC are RTS games & simcity etc..

Games aren't what they used to be.

Tapani2441d ago

I second that. And it ain't nostalgia, it's real.

Did they really skip Shadow of the Colossus? I would definitely swap Dark Cloud for that.

Killzone 1
Black
FF12
GT4
Jak 3
SSX
MGS2
God of war 2

Too much greatness on this console.

Venoxn4g103d ago

I could argue that MGS3 looks even better than MGS2

Cacabunga103d ago

Veno

It does, but MGS2 tanker presentation was ahead of everything we could imagine.

phatak104d ago

god of war 2 looked better than most of the launch games, just like last of us 1 ,kz2 and god of war 3 looking better than a bunch of launch ps4 games, and kz2 for reason looks just as good in 2024, that game had some black magic

Cacabunga104d ago

Agreed. I sometimes watch multiplayer videos of it. Best FPS i have ever played. It’s the game that initiated me to the genre. It has a special place in my all time favorite top3

Those games were pretty mid. In fact, I'm surprised they even put The Getaway: Black Monday. But they left out much better games like Way of the Samurai 1-2, Okami, Jak 2 or 3, Final Fantasy 12, Yakuza 1-2, or SSX 3.
