We've all been holding out hope for an Animal Crossing game for years now. It's getting to the point where cryptic tweets with images of Animal Crossing memorabilia arranged in a pentagram are making the rounds. Here's why our wishes have been painfully ignored.
NE: "Today, we're looking at how the next Animal Crossing game on Switch 2 could significantly improve its multiplayer with new features."
A new Animal Crossing or a Kid Icarus: Uprising remaster would be perfect on the Switch 2.
The Animal Crossing franchise may lean towards casual gaming, but it has laid the foundation for a future title to have a survival mode.

Game takes time to develop. And Nintendo rarely keep a successful franchise on hold for long. We’ll see this game soon, most likely in future Direct.

It skipped Wii U properly so it's obviously coming to Switch. This doesn't even make good sense. Mobile phone games have nothing to do with Switch. Pokemon Go was huge yet Pokemon is coming to Switch this year AND next year. So please...lol
Why would they show anything now when they already have other games to talk about? They have Smash Bros, Super Mario Party, the Pokemon Let's Go games, Xenoblade DLC just this year. Octopath just released. They've already shown/announced Yoshi, Fire Emblem, the core RPG Pokemon and Metroid. There is 100% an Animal Crossing coming likely revealed next year and released either 2019 or 2020.
