The Destiny 2: Forsaken update is going to give dedicated players more reasons to play

Josiah Motley of KnowTechie recently started playing Destiny 2 again after what he would consider the biggest sequel letdown of all sequels. While many of the new features and expansions kept him interested for the first week or so of being back, he quickly realized there just wasn’t that much stuff to do. This new update changes everything.

I had played it here and there and last week completed the campaign and all the new content. It became pretty much the same thing. Same enemies, same maps, over and over.

Yea no there's no reason for me to ever jump back into this franchise. Quit after part one and that was it

"Forsaken update is going to give dedicated players more reasons to play"

Maybe they should give gamers a reason to play Destiny 2 period.

Killa782142d ago

If they cared about the game or the community, it would have been free/a nominal fee.

Parasyte2142d ago

So many entitled people in the gaming community

Killa782142d ago

It's not about entitlement, it's about releasing a half assed game with a stupid leveling system.

Don't even get me started on his broken PvP is.

Every decision they've made is contrary to what the fans want. This game needs players to survive, all my clan has stopped playing, they certainly won't be spending 40 odd quid for the dlc.

Most of the community won't, then destiny will die.

Parasyte2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

Actually,Killa, it is entitlement and it is naive as well. You want Bungie to forego any profits of any kind when they have been working on this content for months in an effort to turn this game around? I will give you that this game never should have been in this state to begin with, but it is, and Bungie have been working their tails off to correct the issues.

Plus, the fact that you are here peddling your opinion as if it were a fact proves that you have a very weak argument to make. You just come off as wanting free stuff.

Killa782140d ago

Why are you white knighting for Bungie - you accept the game should not have released in the state it's in yet we should pay for a fix? Keep paying a Dev which has continuously ignored the community?

It's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of the millions of players who have stopped playing the game.

So don't question my motives until you get your head out of Bungie's arse.

If anything here reeks of naivety, it's you. Keep paying companies for a subpar experience, let's see how they value you!

Parasyte2140d ago (Edited 2140d ago )

I am coming at this from a logical perspective. If you want a studio to keep its doors open, keep paying its employees, and keep doing its best to fix the issues that the game has then you have to pay them.

I will always question anyone's motives that demands stuff for free.

I love this franchise. I had a ridiculous amount of fun and enjoyment with Destiny 1, and I know what this franchise is capable of being. So, I will gladly support Bungie to make this franchise better.

Damn, thats still expensive. Let me know when its for the PS Plus free game offering.

I remember getting a PC code for the base game off Amazon for $15 not long after release. Played for 20 hours and gave up on it. Leveling felt lackluster and all the "classes" felt the same.

I know they have sub-classes now, so I guess there's more variance to be had.
