COGconnected: 27 years after its initial release, cult classic Another World finds its way onto the Switch. Unfortunately, the shine that had made it so special has rusted away, revealing a game that could only be considered good in Another World. The 90’s, maybe?
DotEmu and The Digital Lounge today announced that Another World, also known as Out of This World in North America and Outer World in Japan, will launch for Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2018.
Hardcore Gamer: Fortunately, there is another way to get your hands on Another World’s soundtrack in this format. The official Another World store has just added a blue vinyl edition which is, as of this writing, in stock for $30.
The 25th anniversary release was missing the console release soundtrack which actually had music during the levels which the original on the Amiga didn't. So this soundtrack is gonna pretty much suck.
DotEmu are a publisher gamers should pay special attention to. They are similar to Piko Interactive in the way they rescue classics and bring them to modern platforms. They primarily are known for doing this with the Android and iPhone platforms while Piko sticks with physical cartridge platforms and Steam.
Any moron can write a review these days.
Another World is classic! How dare you!!!
