I haven’t spent this much yet but I don’t care to spend a little ever now and then. I’ve played it many hours and continue to play so I feel I get my money’s worth. They release updates and new content at a fast pace and they support their game very well. The only thing I disagree with is how much the charge for cosmetics. Especially the skins.

sure i don't mind paying like 20$ for a F2P game, just so the game can keep on going, but there is no reason that the average spending will be that high, especially when you got other games that are working a lot harder on creating a compelling game at full 60$ price and end up having less revenue. if players on average spend 85$ on F2P games, I don't see why other games don't cost 85$ on launch as well. the consumer definitely seems to show no issue with doing that going by that fortnite survey.

The game is free though. People are spending money on it because they want cosmetics, and that is their own choice. Has no bearing on game mechanics. It's not half as bad as Magic: The Gathering. If you want to keep up in that game with standard decks, people have to spend hundreds a year.

There are loot boxes, unless they took out the lamas which last I checked are in the game still those are loot boxes. Secons Epic spends more time adding cosmetics and tracking cheaters than they spend on the game. Third this kind of BS has and continues to be put into and push into games where they dont belong. Fourth its degrading game experiences into low quailty high quantity shallow games they rely on ADHD levels of attention anyone who has an attention span of more than 10 mins (at least Im aware of amoung my game friends and community) dont play the game or got bored after a week or two. Fifth its pushing gaming away from a medium of story telling, which it was at the start of this gen, back to just an arcade experience that is fun for all of 10 mins. Pretty easy to see whats wrong and how its bad unless your the one pumping money hand over fist into an online game that will be dead in 2yrs.

As soon as cross progression is allowed, what would be the point of add on content sold on the platform? You could buy it from anywhere and the console holders wouldn't make any money or lose money from lost sales. Might as well put all 3rd party content in the cloud for their games then. Wouldn't be a point of allowing them to sell in the PS,Nin or MS stores.

Just FYI, account access would only apply to progression, not purchased content. I think fighting for account access and account progress is what people need, but I don't think they should necessarily have access to content they bought for a specific platform.

To argue for content to be carried over is to argue that buying a game on one platform should allow you access to that game on any other platform. That's just not how businesses work. My Neverwinter game purchases/characters/everythin g on Xbox One did not transfer to my PS4 either. It's just how things work and there's a business reason to it.
