Hands-On Preview: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Looks Even Better On Xbox One | GCP

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy released last year as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, which was pretty fitting considering the series' history with the original PlayStation. This was only a timed exclusive however, bringing the game to Xbox One, Switch, and PC next week and the game looks even better on Xbox One.

This title of this article seems intentionally misleading. The headline says Xbox One, but the article clearly gushes about how it looks on Xbox One X as opposed to the base hardware.

DarXyde2546d ago

Yeah.

Pretty disingenuous. The result is quite unsurprising though. It's simply more powerful hardware and was afforded more development time.

“Even with the 30fps though, the game runs exceptionally on the Xbox One X that I was able to try it out on at least, with barely even being able to tell that it wasn’t 60fps.”

Xbox One X isn’t some magical console that makes 30fps feel like 60fps. I’m positive it feels exactly the same as it does on PS4 Pro.

Darkwatchman2546d ago

Unless there’s less input latency. Even at the same framerate, some games can have more or less input latency than others.

The one x is an Xbox one....

Obelisk922546d ago

Uhm, no, it isn't.

That's why the title is misleading.

bumbleforce2546d ago

So the games looks best on an Xbox. That's the point

BiggerBoss2545d ago

Damn, the lengths you guys will go to to make Xbox look good😂

SquareBurgers2546d ago

Hurry! Go into protect Sony mode! All hands on deck!

BiggerBoss2545d ago

Honestly bro, is this all you Xbox guys have to brag about?😂

FallenAngel19842546d ago (Edited 2546d ago )

@ Sole

Hater of misleading journalists? 🤔

@ Kum

Yet not every Xbox One is an Xbox One X 😑

@ bum

No the game looks better on better hardware. There’s nothing about this article that says that the base hardware XO version looks better than the version that’s already out.

@ Square

What does this have to do with Sony? The headline is making it seem like the Xbox One version of this game is inherently the best version rather than them purely talking about the premium model XO. That’s disingenuous to owners of the base model.

This is talking about the One X and sadly it doesn't exist in a vacuum.

Is the difference big enough for people who played it on PS4 PRO one year early and paid $100 less for their system?

The answer is very likely, no.

Sayai jin2546d ago

Paid $399 for my PS4 Pros and $399 for my Xbox One X Project Scorpio...got an store discount and miltary discount.

This makes yet another title that looks best on the X, so the extra $100 makes sensemble for some.

Name calling, always a good indicator of someone's maturity.

Anyways, I have own multiple console. Upgraded my base PS4s to pros and base XB1S to X's. I have tons of friends that only own XB1s. So it is only makes since to own a X, plus $400 is chump change to me.

THC CELL2546d ago

Media always feels sorry for xbox its depressing. Anyways been playing this game for over 10 years it's still the same game on whatever console

BiggerBoss2545d ago

You got disagrees, but Xbox guys need anything they can get to make the Xbox look good😂

FlyingFoxy2546d ago

Getting the Switch version, even though my PC would run this game no problem maxed out. Switch & one of those goose neck holders to play in bed is nice.

twiggytree122546d ago

I have the ps4 version already and I'm still going to pick up the switch version. Great game to have on the go.

Nsane numbers. Can we not get a current patch for the trilogy and CTR 60fps and/or 4K? And might as well release a PC port for NF while you're at it, make it happen!

I’m waiting for a dead or alive article to pop up myself

It was the other day I was thinking of picking up crash team racing because I like kart racers like Mario kart and Team Sonic Racing, but I was shocked to find out that Crash team racing is still 30 fps.
