What's The Most Terrifying Creature In Gaming?

It’s no secret that video games are beautiful, featuring some of the most breathtaking visuals we’ve ever seen but they can also contain some of the most terrifying content. It’s normal for gamers to be afraid of an in-game monster or creature and for Joseph from Game Savvy, the most frightening is the Basilisk from Dark Souls:

I don't find them terrifying...just annoying as hell, especially if you do the depths before you open up warp. Halving your health just sucks

Man... I was about 3/4 through Arkham City, and lost power while he game was saving. Save file corrupted. That sucked.

Same thing happened to me playing Skies of Arcadia. 50 hours lol

I feel your pain.

Power went out last week while I was playing. Turned on my system later and it automatically started rebuilding the database. Said not to turn off the system while it’s doing it. lo and behold the power went out again during the defrag! OmFg wow!

That, plus those save corruptions for sure lol. Happened a lot with old ps1/ps2 memory cards.

Oh shit, that's the same thing that happened to me in Skies of Arcadia.

franwex2124d ago

What? My Skies of Arcadia got corrupted too! After I beat it and was just doing random things, so I didn't mind as much. What is going on with THAT game?

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

Dudeson25d ago (Edited 25d ago )

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
