I like buying my games and supporting the developers to continue to make future projects. But saying that, Also don't mind hacking my device to play emulators for games that are not re-released digitally.

I'm all for supporting the developers, but when games rarely go on sale and never drops in price years later (Nintendo), you either buy used (so no money to the developer) or pirate the game.
So when its a game I feel is worth full price, they will get my money. When the game is worth half price and it goes on sale for half price, they will get my money. But when they never lower the price and it's a 'I want to play it but not at that price', what do you do?

Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario Rabbids, Fire Emblem Warriors and 1-2-Switch have all been on sale. Interestingly enough Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokken Tournament Deluxe, both remasters, are two that haven't seen much of a discount at all.

It's more so that if you connect online ever, even to get updates, Nintendo will know, as they receive activity logs. He's saying right now that's there's no way to hide pirated games. If you pirate a game, you have to accept that console as being banned.

Even if your console get banned, you can still update your games anyway so it doesn't matter. You only lose eshop access and the ability to play online. Some hackers who got their console banned already can update their games still.

Funny, I get into online matches in MK8, Splatoon 2, Fortnite, Rocket League, ARMS, etc., just fine and with no lag but "most people don't play online anyway" so I must be dreaming.

Anybody knows once you hack a console and pirate games you take the game online they will either brick the console or know the game is pirated.

This is nothing new. People will just buy two consoles that’s how it’s always been. I’ve always been into hacking and have had every major console modded that I’ve owned. I just enjoy learning the tech. Now with that being said I don’t find it worth pirating games simply because of the size of these games nowadays still who couldn’t resist a fully modded psp back in the day...

Tbh, it changes nothing. You open the gateway and it's over. Ps3 became a disaster after the same thing was said. Yes Sony did clean it up quite a bit. But things will always be pirated. Also, someone will find workarounds if they want. Tbh of next year's Pokémon game has any Pokémon go nonsense in it, I'll be using it for hacking and emulating. As long as I can play smash and whatnot, I'll gladly keep it offline

Why does this matter when given the fact we already know the switch is just a nivida shield it seems an emulator isnt far off so why bother worrying about hacking.

The Switch in many ways does resemble a NVidia Shield but without first breaking the console where do you think the emulators come from?

To gain a fully functional emulator you’d have to know how the system executes the software and what workarounds are being used currently.

My point is there is no need to worry about the big N and their "online" part if you are using an emulator hell most emulators now support online play. I know the hack proceeds the emulator.

Having a hacked, dedicated handheld system is awesome is why. I modded my 3DS and I use it every day. Granted, I still support Nintendo and buy their stuff. It is not TECHNICALLY prosecutable however, to buy a game, rip your own copy of it, and then sell the game. Obviously, laws vary from country to country.
