E3: 2018 Fallout 76 To Be the First in the Fallout Timeline

Ahead of Bethesda's E3 press briefing, Todd Howard took to the Xbox stage to bring fans the first details for Fallout 76. According to Howard, Fallout 76 will take place before any of the other Fallout games and will serve as a mainline entry as opposed to the spin-off fans were expecting.

I'm just happy no online was mentioned. Of course they still can at their own conference but my hopes are up now.

Fingers crossed.. I'd love it to be a single player game.

I think all the rumors of it being some online vault builder or some spinoff game is over. They said it's 4 times the size of Fallout 4 and showed the character walking out in the wasteland in a West Virginia prequel. It might have some online play also which doesn't have to be a bad thing, I actually thought Fallout 4 could of used some type of online mode especially with the building of your own settlements. But I'm pretty sure this is a proper Fallout installment, similar to how New Vegas was to Fallout 3.

Pleasantly surprised it may be single player driven afterall.

I hope it is indeed a mainline entry. This was the only game shown on the Microsoft presentation that interested me. So since we got this in the MS show can we get Elder Scrolls 6 in Bethesda's please?

4 times bigger than Fallout 4....wow! Hope they don’t don’t fuck it up with multiplayer....otherwise it’s a day one buy for me for sure!

I just hope it looks a lot better than Fallout 4. I know what I'm about to say is not the popular opinion, but I really thought Fallout 4 was extremely boring and bland NPC's. The side-quests boring as well. Graphics looked so dated. I hope this game is just better that's all. Stuff the 'building a camp' thing. Just make a great action RPG.

I’d personally like online co-op for this, it would be great fun and you could collect and trade weapons, materials etc with your friend.
