DMC4 is the gold standard when it comes to combat in the genre and Nero’s first eleven missions are proof that DMC can still evolve in a tasteful, exciting manner. DMC4 is disappointing, but disappointment isn’t an outright absence of quality. In many cases, disappointment comes from the fact that quality is present, just not properly utilized. Devil May Cry 4 is a good game that very easily could have been amazing had its potential not been robbed by a rushed release date.
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?
Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.
Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.
5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.
Grab your katana, and slice your way through this list featuring the best hack and slash games the PlayStation 3 had to offer.
Dante's inferno... an excellent GoW inspired game. So sad the sequels will never be.
heavenly sword was such a short, but amazing game. that game should be prime material to be made into a download only remaster.
I really enjoyed Castlevania, but struggled to get into it again reattempting it a few years back. I still think it does another of things well; story, presentation, level varietily and art style at least. Gameplay maybe has not stood test of time unfortunately which makes it a chore to get through.
Hideki Kamiya played a lot of Devil May Cry 4 when he was developing Bayonetta and incorporated many of DMC4’s elements into his game.
That should be considered a high amount of praise for Hideaki Itsuno. It’s a shame that DMC4 was rushed though.
If dante had his own set of bosses and levels it would have made the game great, running back through Nero's playthrough was awful.
