Hardcore Gamer: Fans of side-scrolling beat’em ups certainly remember Altered Beast. The 1988 Sega title was released in arcades before making its way to home consoles a short time after. It was quite popular at the time and remains a classic title. Now, Funko has announced an Altered Beast Pop! figure for dedicated collectors to obtain.
GameCrate: "The Sega Genesis catalogue features a long list of classics that would be great to see revived on modern platforms. Here are five Sega Genesis games that deserve the Streets of Rage 4 treatment."
Throw in Guardian Heroes. The magic and mayhem would be crazy. With Undead Hero leading the charge.

YES!
Altered Beast with cel-shaded graphics is going to be lit!
Although I think the blood would look like tomato?
This Altered Beast fan game adds a bunch of fresh and remixed ideas to an old classic and is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.
ANDi writes: One of my childhood favourites; Altered Beast, is now available on mobile thanks to SEGA Forever. I suppose it is nostalgic that SEGA decided not to improve the graphics and retain the spitting image of the game in all its original, retro glory. I don’t mind this, but am curious, would an update to the graphics have ruined the game? I'm not sure. Retro gamers may disagree?
Classic:)
I remember Altered Beasts so fondly. It was badass changing into the werewolves, dragons, etc...
