Borderlands 3: 4-Player Co-Op Could Return In The Game

A fan asked Pitchford if Borderlands 3 will once again present a 4-player cooperative. When Pitchford replied, he mentioned for the first time that Borderlands 3 has not yet been announced, before saying that there is nothing wrong with the 4-player co-op, being something that has worked pretty well so far.

I can see Borderlands 3 adding 6 to 8 player co-op. I play 2-4 player, so even if it is still the same then that's fine by me & my friends! ^_^ Really wish they were showing the game at E3

5 player co op would be great. But if this game didn't have 4 player co-op at least, it would be an automatic no buy.

Side note.... can we finally move past 4 player co op. We should really be at 6 by now. Or go straight to 8. Somebody on a AAA level break the mold.

8 is way too many for borderlands game. You would have to rework the whole aspect of the game to make it feel like a good challenge. And just ramping the enemy levels up wouldn't be suffice.

No surprises there. There's 4 classes in the games anyway. That way a team can have one of each member.

another borderlands? really? still got no interest in redoing the borderlands shtick. the second one was already superfluous in my personal opinion.

4-player coop is what Borderlands is all about. What I'd like to see though is more interaction between the different classes and their specials working together. That could make for more varied strategies.

I've only ever played BL1&2 solo...never with anyone else and I prefer it that way...even though I haven't experienced the alternative.

I like progressing at my own pace and not having to do what other want and going wherever I want, whenever I want in the game.

I'd probably try BL3 with others on a 2nd playthrough just to try it out.
