Detroit: Become Human Review - IGN

IGN: "Detroit: Become Human is a wonderfully silly interactive drama that meaningfully bends to your will."

salmonade2544d ago

Great. The review is by Lucy O'Brien. I love her. /s

chrisx2544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

Alot of very positive reviews for this game which is great news. yet another great PS4 exclusive. Can't wait for this.

salmonade2544d ago

Yep. 80 Metacritic is great for a David Cage game. I'll be playing it as soon as it unlocks. I got the Digital version.

NecrumOddBoy2544d ago

Lucy is one of the worst reviewers at IGN hands down and always holds political agenda and a bias.

I like her voice but, in this review it sounded like she was distressed.

OB1Biker2544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

Definitely not watching.
Going to be awesome playing going in blind

doggo842544d ago

Another great ps4 exclusive. Cant wait to pick this game up tomorrow.

Flewid6382544d ago

Yeah. The game won't do anything unless you pick up a controller and press buttons.

You never played a video game before? lmao.

Brave_Losers_Unite2544d ago

FernDiggidy is currently still collecting treasure in Sea of Thieves. I think he needed to vent out his anger somewhere

FernDiggidy2543d ago

@Brave_Losers_Unite Sea of what? nah man.

GOW all day baby! A game with actual gameplay.

Getting great reviews more evidence that PS4 is the best gaming platform for new games. Also the graphics in this game are phenomenal

Sitdown2544d ago

My gosh, you are trying absolutely too hard.

Ricegum2544d ago

Likewise with your salt.

Sitdown2544d ago

What exactly would be the salt? That there really is not a positive correlation between a game's review score and a platform being the best for new games? Or the fact that it just comes off as petty to even make that statement? Reception (sales) of a new game would be a better determiner than simply a review score. Or if the person said ps4 is the best gaming platform to play new games, it would completely make sense. But again, perhaps I should take that as a compliment, because salt does bring seasoning to what's bland.

.Playstation is the console to own, everyone knows that. I'm a PC gamer (the beloved PC shall always rule), and the truth is that Sony is kicking it out of the park. If you are a gamer at all, you should seriuosly consider getting one.

I also really appreciate what Sony has done for gaming. They've given big projects enough time, money and creative freedom, and those studios are delivering excellence non-stop. I have a lot of respect for Sony because of that.

attilayavuzer2544d ago

I think the issue is that when review threads devolve into a circle jerk for a platform, it takes the focus off the game itself. So the vibe ends up being "Yay Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft's bottom line!" instead of discussing the game or congratulating the developer for their hard work in creating something genuinely great.

doggo842544d ago

Just keep quiet. It has 80 metacritic. It's definitely better than a few other games I can think of which have released In the last 2 months.

Atticus_finch2544d ago

80 is bad?
Also you have to include the other games in the platform for it to be the best, which it is.

tombfan2544d ago

Good! I was expecting 8's and 9's that's kind of the staple in David's games, I'm in awe with the last paragraphs where's explained that indeed it's super branchy and have very different playthroughs! I'm excited!

...this has got to be a joke, the thing looks like it was put together by me when comparing it to something from Boston Dynamics from 20 years ago. They might make good Halloween decorations though as they move more like an animatronic from Spirit Halloween

Is N4G a place to promote a conman now?

Babadook7211d ago (Edited 211d ago )

I disagree. BD is pretty scripted. This is using AI to act. Not the same thing. If you don't like Elon what about Figure 01, 02? Same general concept.

MrDead211d ago

I'm talking about the "robots" ability to do anything, Boston Dynamics have proof of concept and what they build does what they say, the Musk just has an extremely curated video of robots shuffling around like a 90yo. I can see why this presentation tanked Teslas stock price by $60billion.

The dumbass even thought his bus was a good idea, a vehicle that's meant to be mass transit has no ground clearance and they boxed the wheels in making it turn poorly or wasting massive amounts of space on the interior.

Babadook7211d ago

I think it's ahead of Boston dynamics in terms of being a product. Like I said prescripted is not really the same thing as thats not really particularly useful, at least in the human form.

Grilla211d ago

AI? Those bots were controlled by ppl. It’s vaporware

cartoonx1211d ago

AI is also pre-scripted, just more advance. there is a reason you keep getting new version of chat GPT. trained more, better data, algo improved.
It's just a fancier way of pre-scripted. its still limited to what is trained on, how its train, and generative capabilites are limited to how its written.

Detroit: Become Human Has Sold Over 10 Million Copies

Detroit: Become Human has officially sold over 10 million copies, making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3, which sold over 50 million copies.

Ezio2048215d ago

"making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3"

Stupidest line I have heard in a long time from a gaming article.

Amplitude215d ago

I actually audibly laughed out loud

VenomUK215d ago

I enjoy all genres of video games including action adventures, RPGs, beat ‘em ups, FPS and choice and consequence games.

mkis007215d ago

What a weird way to categorize 2 unrelated games.

VenomUK215d ago (Edited 215d ago )

Exactly! Maybe they got ChatGPT to help them with their homework?

JEECE215d ago

Cool. Great sales for a game of this style.

90sGamingWasBetter215d ago

One of my favourites from last gen.
