Rob Pitt writes: There are games which entertain you, games which excite you, games which hit you emotionally, and games which frustrate you to the point of either rage quitting or throwing your controller across the room in a fit of anger. Shio is a combination of all of these glorious aspects. Originally created by a single man, Laio Yi, Shio was shown to developers Coconut Island Games during the Independent Games Festival in China back in 2014 who partnered up and turned the game into the beautiful creation we have today. Shio is a strange game, it combines precise jumping mechanics with perfect timings and frustrating obstacles which are all delivered within a mysterious story headed by a silent protagonist.
The platforming genre is quite a crowded scene at the moment. This makes developers do one of two things, copy the competition or create something that deviates from the status quo.

Coconut Island Games has announced that the fast-paced action-platformer Shio is available now for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop for $12.99.
