Review: The Forest - Destructoid

This game was ok when I first played on early access. Maybe it's alot better now that's it's out of early access. Hopefully they fixed those bugs where I couldn't pick up logs after I chop them down. The A.I. was little wonky. This game did kind of freak me out so might give it another go. Good review by the way.

The game has changed tremendously since you last played it. I've come back to this game about 3 times over the last couple years and put over 100 hours into it because of how enjoyable it can be. There is tons to explore and the story is told in an amazing way as you piece it together from clues in the caves. Wasn't expecting much from the story in this game but ended up loving it.

This is the only game of this type that I’ve actually enjoyed playing and put a lot of time into. I got it on Steam but plan on picking it up for PS4 as well.

No at the moment is only available on PC. It may or may not come to consoles. The team is rather small and its their first or second game

It was announced for PS4 about 3 years ago and then re-announced at PSX a few months ago along with a multiplayer trailer. It has a 2018 release window for PS4. With the game fully releasing last week I imagine most of their time will be spent getting the PS4 version released.

The game always looked great so it's nice to see it at an 80+ Metacritic. I look forward to getting it on PS4.
