The GPD Win 2 is handheld computer that looks like a cross between a tiny laptop and a Nintendo DS. It’s a clamshell device that’s a bit larger than a chunky phone, and which features a 6 inch touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard and built-in game controller buttons. The device starts shipping this month and is expected to show up in retail stores shortly thereafter.
The GPD Win 4 can be purchased starting December 19 on Indiegogo for a starting price of $799.
A product that gives Sony's board of directors PTSD ... I love it. 🤣
They must be banging their heads on the wall for acting so fullish and leaving the mobile market completely to nintendo, by now, and this product is the nail to their coffin of neglect.
Kisses,
a ps vita owner that payed for your predatory one-of-a-kind stupid memory cards.
The Indiegogo for this Steam Deck alternative that looks like a PS Vita goes live next month.
I've always preferred the psp/vita shape than Nintendo's handhelds. Been thinking about getting a gpd so will keep an eye out.
Lol at "inspired". It looks like they literally just repurposed a Vita. Sony gonna have a field day with their lawyers
Ordering as soon as it's up, Picked up a win 3 a few weeks ago for cheap so ill sell that to front the cost a bit.
I like this better over the other handhelds out as a portable pc, and win 3 almost had it so I think win 4 will be amazing for my planned usage outside of occasional gaming. Digging the psp go /vita looks
This "portable PC" packs an AMD APU in its belt, which is allegedly powered by a 25W AMD Ryzen CPU and a Vega GPU.
Looks like GPD will eat any lumch that SmachZ could have had. I'm loving the existing GPD Win 2. A faster one would be awesome.
Who the hell wants to have a useless keyboard there. It's obviously meant for gaming, why not just reserve that space for comfortable gaming buttons? It seems laboursome to go over the keyboard for the joystick. It would have been better to allow Bluetooth connection with wireless keyboards instead.
Oh and the price....eesh
Handheld and gaming pc will never be a thing. To get one with even mid range gaming pc capability it would be heavy and need a ridculous battery to be portable for more than a couple hours. Not to mention it would likely end up melting since you would need it to be extremely compact.
Yeah, but can it run Crysis?
Can it even mine cryptocurency? No bitcoin...no way ;-/
does anyone still remember Smach Z
