How to Beat God of War's Gunnr Valkyrie

A ragged Valkyrie boss that dwells deep in Thamur's Corpse, Gunnr is God of War's fourth Valkyrie post-game boss. As with every Valkyrie, she is a very significant challenge.

Just beat this earlier, but fought her as soon as she became available in the story rather than post game (just got the item that lets you unlock those doors). My first valkyrie fight, and man it was awesome. I died probably 7 or 8 times, getting so close a few times. You couldn't even cheese it with Atreus's arrow like many purple monster fights, because she's so quick. Was so much fun.

Same did it as soon as I met her.... 2 days lol. It's much easier to roll towards her during the slashes and power strike. Use the rage meter smartly

😂😂 Same as. I think she's handed me my ass about 20 times now and I haven't really damaged her that much in any of those attempts. In my defence, I was very very drunk when trying to beat her so I must go at it again sober and try and learn her attack patterns. She uses all the attacks from the other Valkyries so it's pretty difficult to remember. I've vowed not to give up until I beat her. Soon!!!

i got her to about 5 hits 1/4 of the last bar.... she did that bullshit valhalla stomp which i thought i dodged correctly, i hit square for the boy to heal me he started healing me then it put me to the load checkpoint screen i was sooooooo f*ckin pissed nearly gave sony more money, wanted to throw that controller to break the crap out of it so bad 😂 keep getting her to 2 bars or less and then just it handed to me even with taking my time
the attacks are the same as the rest just all in one, but faster at moving and more health.
ill get her just frustrating.

IDK if it will help or not but re equip all your gear and make sure your moves and everything are fully upgraded and spam your runic attacks when theres an opening.. When i first fought her, the lifebar was purple and after i changed my stuff, it was orangish.. She destroyed me 30x or more but eventually you learn her movements and get lightning reflexes.. It was a brutal fight but she can be downed. It was only on "give me a challenge" difficulty too.. Not even trying on GoW difficulty lol

I can't even get past the first draughr encounter during the tutorial on god of war difficulty so i can only imagine how it would be to fight a valkyrie, let alone their queen^^

im lvl 8 im pretty sure as left them til i finished story, bar is blue i think. might see what armor i can craft try and get better stuff get my stats up a lil bit more. but dont see it being much better than i have :)

Finally beat all the Valkyries definitely the hardest bosses I've faced in recent memory. A few Ravens and artifacts away from a platinum
