Well that’s exactly the feeling I got when I played Battlezone: Gold Edition, it’s a fun, frenetic game that doesn’t take itself seriously and that’s exactly what it does so well. Actually I had completely forgotten about the Battlezone IP but was quickly remember inundated with memories of playing the original via a freeware website during our computer class in grade school (who needs to learn how to use Excel right?) and those exact feelings are still present in this modern take on the game that manages to keep this fun, mindless intact while bringing in just enough modern elements to keep things fresh."
