We Tried the Detroit: Become Human Demo and We Loved It

The long-awaited game from Director David Cage, titled Detroit: Become Human, has hit the PlayStation Store with a demo of the first mission. The demo is absolutely seamless, transitioning between gameplay and cutscenes with no graphical difference or loading screens. Gamers will be shocked by how good this game looks, with a unique design and style.

I loved the demo, I only wished it had been different from what we had seen so many times before. But I'm still excited for the game though.

robtion2557d ago

Yes me too. Though on the other hand it's nice not to have any more of the game spoiled.

Couldn’t agree more. I loved the demo and the visuals are stunning. The gameplay was also great. Much better than I would’ve expected.

I concur. Looks crazy good on Pro in HDR.

Plus I loved the dialogue so far, it is a great thing that David Cage brought in two writer/director who wirk with Warner Bros Studios, Sony Picture Entertainment, IO-interactive to help write the script for Detroit. I am hoping that this is a great or even better than Heavy Rain.

Alot of people are sleeping on this one. This game will be awesome

EazyC2556d ago

It's awesome, reminded me of a top-drawer tv show, love the investigation at the beginning - - don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't tried it!

...this has got to be a joke, the thing looks like it was put together by me when comparing it to something from Boston Dynamics from 20 years ago. They might make good Halloween decorations though as they move more like an animatronic from Spirit Halloween

Is N4G a place to promote a conman now?

Babadook7196d ago (Edited 196d ago )

I disagree. BD is pretty scripted. This is using AI to act. Not the same thing. If you don't like Elon what about Figure 01, 02? Same general concept.

MrDead196d ago

I'm talking about the "robots" ability to do anything, Boston Dynamics have proof of concept and what they build does what they say, the Musk just has an extremely curated video of robots shuffling around like a 90yo. I can see why this presentation tanked Teslas stock price by $60billion.

The dumbass even thought his bus was a good idea, a vehicle that's meant to be mass transit has no ground clearance and they boxed the wheels in making it turn poorly or wasting massive amounts of space on the interior.

Babadook7196d ago

I think it's ahead of Boston dynamics in terms of being a product. Like I said prescripted is not really the same thing as thats not really particularly useful, at least in the human form.

Grilla196d ago

AI? Those bots were controlled by ppl. It’s vaporware

cartoonx1196d ago

AI is also pre-scripted, just more advance. there is a reason you keep getting new version of chat GPT. trained more, better data, algo improved.
It's just a fancier way of pre-scripted. its still limited to what is trained on, how its train, and generative capabilites are limited to how its written.

Detroit: Become Human Has Sold Over 10 Million Copies

Detroit: Become Human has officially sold over 10 million copies, making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3, which sold over 50 million copies.

"making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3"

Stupidest line I have heard in a long time from a gaming article.

Amplitude200d ago

I actually audibly laughed out loud

VenomUK200d ago

I enjoy all genres of video games including action adventures, RPGs, beat ‘em ups, FPS and choice and consequence games.

mkis007200d ago

What a weird way to categorize 2 unrelated games.

VenomUK200d ago (Edited 200d ago )

Exactly! Maybe they got ChatGPT to help them with their homework?

JEECE200d ago

Cool. Great sales for a game of this style.

90sGamingWasBetter200d ago

One of my favourites from last gen.
