CEMU 1.11.6 is now available, improves emulation compatibility, adds UI game list

The team behind the best WiiU emulator, CEMU, has released a brand new version. CEMU 1.11.6 is now available to all Patreon backers and will be made available to the public on April 3rd.

I had it working with it’s initial release but then came back to it a while later. Installed a new version of Cemu & haven’t got it to work since. Soon as I load the game it gets almost to title screen then boots me out saying I need a title update.

Really want to go back to it at some stage.

You have to download the latest update to zelda on cemu, if your using wiiu helper just get it from there. I just finished the game yesterday in 4K it was amazing.

I did use it in the past I think i played it on version 1.2.

Since I’ve gone back to it recently I think they’ve block wii helper. Haven’t looked any further into it as struggling for time lately. But one day I will.

I saw a tutorial where it seemed as though you have to do about 100 steps before you can even play the game. Can't be assed. An emulator should be Load the game, set controls resolution and you're done.

Depends on the game. Breath of the wild is the hardest game to run on wii u, and a lot of people are trying to run the game at higher framerates than the console was originally targeting (60fps), which is obviously very taxing, hence why there are videos out there about ways to maximize performance. Mario kart 8 though, I just downloaded it, enabled a 4K pack, and ran it without issues.

Edit: also, I forgot to add, this is an experimental emulator that's still in development, it's not even meant for general use by the public. This update helps a little with usability (games list, etc) but it's still not ready for prime time, it needs more work.
