Even 9 years after its release, The Witcher 3 remains one of the finest RPGs ever. Its detailed world and ingenious quest design have yet to be surpassed by another in the genre. The next-gen update released in late 2022 was a significant visual overhaul, adding ray-traced lighting, upscaling, and frame generation to an already pretty world.
Actually just picked this up yesterday on Steam, since it's $9.99 for the game and all the DLC. I've owned it for years on Playstation, but honestly never put a whole lot of time into it. Though I knew I had to play through it one day because I loved what I did play. It runs so buttery smooth on PC. Still a really beautiful game with everything maxed out settings-wise at 4K.

I've tried to play this game twice when it was released & again in early 2016 spending 90 dollars & I still could not get into as much as I tried to.Its been over 2 years & with the new updates for the Pro I'm thinking about shelling out $20 & giving it another shot when I start my 15 week vac from work next month.Maybe the 3rd time will be a charm or a total strike out.
I bought it on sale, like last month?? and the gameplay feels really dated compared to games that came out around that same time. only played it about 3 hours total since initial purchase. and i love Skyrim, just can't get into this, characters are super dull on here too and this dude sounds like a fake snake.
I've been playing it for a second time in between other games. It's great that just about every time I return, there's something new implemented.
I can wait for the patch. It was enjoyable enough without 4K or HDR.
