I mean anything extra is going to make the original seem like it's incomplete but in my opinion that's simply just a matter of perspective.

I believe in order for anyone to really confirm that the game was incomplete I mean they would have to even prove that they even knew what in original complete version would even look like anyway to say what it's missing.

If you really can't see how downhill, rushed and all over the place Final Fantasy XV was with 60% of the game then I don't know what to say. Even with the Chapters before Chapter 8 it felt pretty repetitive quest wise and features such as off road driving, lack of magic and character switching.

If you enjoyed what you played fine but don't make out it was a full on finished game without issues because it's just not true no matter how well you want to spin it just because you enjoyed it.

that's why i am waiting for them to fully complete the game because i feel like for a while the project was in Limbo and than when it was switched to FF15 they had to rush. I got no proof for what i am saying i am only taking a guess

"look at" or "If you really can't see" okay based on your post this seems like this is simply based on your perception you don't have any factual evidence that anything is actually "incomplete" if you don't like the game that's completely fine if in your personal opinion you feel the game is incomplete that's also fine as well but please stop making it this absolute definitive statement as if you're talking about something that's a fact you're simply talking about how you FEEL about the game.

Keep in mind I'm not even disagreeing with that the game very much could feel that way simply that there's not even any real evidence to suggest that the game is unfinished or something was withheld or something wasn't completed or something like that for all we know the games just bad....

Put it this way just to use an example of a game we both like it would be like somebody trying to say that the Evil Within 2 "incomplete" because the team released the free FPS mode.

Could we seriously not just be talking about a game that's bad regardless that just got additional content after its completion?

The fact the game is still being patched about a year and a half later says a lot. It was rushed because Squeenix juggled too many franchises at once as it generally does. Did you know that loads of content that was supposed to be in the game like Noctis & co. fighting their way out of the city against invading Niflheim forces was cut from the game. In fact about 2 months ago director Hajime Tabata stated that there's NO reason to patch in the rest of the plotholes that remain in the original story. The combat is monotonous and boring after a while, it pales in comparison to NieR:Automata a game which is not only complete from the get go but features an amazing combat system, shoot 'em up & platforming elements that break up the gameplay. Also unlike FFXV, with NieR:Automata you have a game that is far more complete though in order for the entire story to make sense you have to get multiple endings but at least they don't take forever to get each ending. Also you can play as more than one character, with FFXV you had to wait a year in order for that feature to be patched when character switching is a staple that has been in rpg's a long time. Tales of Berseria, Ni No Kuni II, even the crappy Star Ocean 5 has it, there's no excuse on Squeenix's part no excuse and it took a year. How pathetic and inexcusable.

Unless FFXV has the original story intended, features an improved combat system, and everything that was intended for an alternate ending. Until then i won't go back to FFXV.

I waited until the Royal Edition to buy the game on PS4 and I have to say I'm glad I did, from what I hear. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end and still have plenty to do. I can't really relate to all of the divisiveness when it was first released and glad i went into it not knowing much.

Only sold it due to money problems, not because I literally hated the game. And why is it crap? What makes it so bad? I'm hoping/I'm sure we'll get a Luna DLC, but I'm wondering what the other two will be. Cor and Regis? Luna's brother? I mean it's a much more complete game now than it was, so I shudder to think what it will look like when they're done. I have to hand credit to Tabata, he's done a really great job.

Yeah it's a more complete game now but still in the grand scheme of things anything is better then what we got, it's not hard to top something lacking in the first place. Like that first update to No Mans Sky, it made the game a little better but it was still lacking alot.

Tabata did a shit job with this game, I hope he never works on a main title Final Fantasy game again.

Final Fantasy XV was a good game but it was nothing special, it was just a better Final Fantasy game then Final Fantasy XIII. Hell I shudder to think about the reception to Final Fantasy XV if Final Fantasy XIII didn't exist.

Considering the colossal mess that Nomura left him, he did a good job. The game was in development hell and at least Tabata gave it direction and cohesion. They rushed it out despite the fact it took so long but I would say it's a great game now as to before where it was okay/good.

FF15 is not a good game, nor a great game. Like, in your opinion, because you?.. Sure. And that's totally cool. But objectively, based on the 30+ years of video games raising the bar and setting the standard in story development and gameplay?... No.

CGI, two games taped together, no character development, Cut content everywhere, "To the point where many of the things that happen in the game with the main characters didn't make ANY SENSE and were TOTAL LEFT FIELDS", 120+ dollar experience, terrible combat/magic, empty content-less, side-fetch-kill-quest ridden world fishing sim.

Outside of the padded ending cutscenes, maybe the train scene with Shiva, the Leviathan CUTSC- Actually. Just the cutscenes in general, the game is a near total wash with the exception of driving around and listening to FF7 tunes in the car aimlessly.

Graphics/CGI aren't a replacement for storytelling, character development and gameplay. You'd think after Sea of Thieves we'd be figuring that out by now. Final Fantasy 13 was superior in almost every way.. And that's not okay.

Probably i'm the only one that thinks this game was the kingdom of boredom and the DLCs didn't save it :P What can i say? I didn't like it, bought it when it came out (big mistake!) with full price. Then gave second and third chance but... it's useless, i can't play a game that gives me 0 fun :( Tried to sell, nothing. Tried to trade it in for another game in a GameStop, they offered me €4 discount... so i kept it (i paid it €71).
It's all a personal experience, i'm not say it's bad or something. It's just about my experience.

Seriously, Tabata screwed that up big-time. Luna was such a non character except for the summoning scene, then they tried the movie bullshit where she puts her hand out to look powerful. What ever happened to the nuance
of Final Fantasy's characters? Tifa for example was practical. Despite having a crush on Cloud she was Marlene's mother figure, organized shit for AVALANCHE, and tried her damnedest to get Cloud to join. She was powerful but had a soft side. No western style theatrics were needed for her to seem powerful and interesting, even a bit mysterious, she just was.

Aerith and her past, her youthful side, the fact she was fighting the entire way through, and did things for her mother and even strangers like Cloud. The fact she was willing to join AVALANCHE without a second thought. The cross dressing scene showed off her playful side, the story showed her personal sacrifices.
No need for fake laughing here, she had a side interested in life, and wanting to seek the truth for others.

The practical shit.

Garnet having to face off against her own family(hint, Stella would have ended up wanting doing the same, but themes like this are too strong for FF these days. Hiding her identity.

Then we come to Stella. Stella was the ultimate rival so much that this was originally named Final Fantasy VERSUS XIII. The potential is there, EVEN if they kept the story the same but just changed this one aspect:

-She would have been a frenemy, rival, boss, and maybe even a party member. She would have had to deal with the Empire taking over cities, and how that affected her. This also opens potential for Aranea, Ravus, Ardyn, and the Emporer to actually get some characterization as well. They'd affect the story for more than one battle each. There would have been an epic battle in Lucis or some other city between Noctis and Stella. THEN you have the part where she becomes a bargaining chip and they're to be wed, as they've wanted, and the summoning scene. There's a TON of potential there.

OR

-screw the summoning scene's end, she joins Noctis's party in rebellion akin to Garnet.

Also, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the theatrics like raising her hand, or talking in a UK accent. But in FFXV there WAS something wrong with it because they used it as the bullshit Hollywood trope of "this girl talks differently and raises her arm, she is powerful". This ONLY works if there's a reason why. Practical things, as I listed earlier.

Personally I think it should have been Stella. She just looked more practical from a heroine standpoint. She looked ready for battle, but also ready to go into public. She wasn't just a pedestal chick. And I think they used the accent as a crutch, not an extension of her personality.

All in all Luna was the bullshit Hollywood trope version. We didn't get the practicality, the relatibility behind her character IMO. There's nothing wrong with being a princess or making speeches, but if she doesn't have down to earth moments and a peer into her motives, ideals, sacrifices, etc, that aren't just the summoning scene, we don't get an everyday look into her life and why she is special. You can't just give me "she raised her arm, made tough faces, and talks in an accent". Give me the human look into why she's so badass as well.

Tabata F-d up FFXV in my opinion. Hard.

Xb1x. Just because there is not so much in higher res textures or something like that. Almost only a res update. This way the game loads a lot faster (but still an eternity) and game play is more fluent.

Can anyone tell me if this Royal Upgrade is worth the price ?. As i have got the platinum on FF15 all really enjoyed it for what it was bought all the Episodes and Commrades too. But my question really is is it worth it for the extra story content ?. I mean i bought the South Park dlc last week and that basically took me just over an hour with no trophys either and that cost e £9.49 and this is £11.99 and looks to add a lot more than that with trophys also.
