Monster Hunter World's first prototype didn't actually feature any combat, helping the team decide how well the sequel's new environmental focus would hold up.

Debuting for the first time at a postmortem during the 2018 Game Developers Conference, the prototype was set in an almost pitch-black forest with small monsters, and featured many familiar elements that made it into the final game.

Love this game... would be nice if they added there journey into the making of this game in a dlc.. I’m sure it would make people appreciate the game more.

He's been in most, if not all the games and is iconic to the series. I guess he can be considered the unofficial mascot but every game has its own unique monster as the poster boy.

Because you had fun. I started Monster Hunter with my son on PSP 17 years ago. We put a ton of hours into the games since then. Never did I look back at any game I’ve sunk a lot of hours into and think, I might regret having all that fun.
