A bit boring, a bit limited. But Bravo Team will still be a hit with PSVR owners looking for a dry, military shooting gallery.
The WTMG staff remembers the twenty worst games they had to review in 2018 for the last time before they repress those memories forever.
I agree with a lot of games on the list (especially Gene Rain, One Piece, Quiet Man, etc.) but I disagree with Kirby Star Allies. It should have been replaced with New Gundam Breaker.
JTGA: There is enormous potential in these formative years of mainstream virtual reality. Sony’s headset is arguably at the forefront of widespread awareness, and regularly boasts interesting, experimental, and / or exclusive titles. When you give well established teams like Supermassive access to that same tech, one can’t help but be cautiously optimistic about titles like Bravo Team. Especially when you take into account their pedigree with stuff like Until Dawn.
On paper, the premise sounds like a Time Crisis arcade fans dream. You inhabit the role of a special forces operative, and lead the charge through various close combat scenarios. Co-op play is available, and you also have control over your A.I squadmates. There’s support for the PSVR Aim Cntroller, a replayable score attack style mode, and various difficulty levels.
It should be a winner. But unfortunately, Bravo Team fails to hit the mark.
Game was basically a rush job. They tried to make too many games at once and the result was lower quality games compared to their first release of rush of blood.
Hopefully they learned their lesson. They could have had 5 for 5 great games. Instead I only bought two games:until dawn and rush. And that's their fault.
Bismarn asked me to say: "Yeah we know. This game was getting bad reviews a month ago. Why are people still discussing it."
Shawn Farner: "We've elected not to dive into the massive amounts of shovelware out there. The games on this list are ones you've likely heard of, as they either come from teams that have done great work in the past, or from franchises that have received mostly favorable reviews. In a year that's already full of fantastic games, the ones we've listed here let us down, and we're calling them out."
Oh come on, Little Witch Academia CoT isn't THAT bad. If anything, New Gundam Breaker and Agony should have been on the list.
Whats wrong with little witch academia? Secret mana was ok. We never talk about metal gear survive. That name the game nd everything associated with it doesnt exist
humm,... some other blogger seems to have tested this game as one of his or her first vr experience ever. this dude or gal mentioned motion sickness. which is always a sign that it was the wrong person who wrote the review. this dude or dudesse gave it a really bad grade. while this blogger here comes around with a more decent grade. which tells me, that vr titles shouldn't be given out to anyone to playtest it. such reviews of untrained vr dudes or dudesses are really of zilch value. i can't take people seriously who are still mentioning motion sickness in 2018. only shows "i haven't played many vr titles yet and my brain is not used to it and i am too scared to play a little bit longer until i don't feel motion sickness anymore, mkay!?"... pathetic, if you ask me.
