The recently announced Burnout Paradise Remastered has no microtransactions, while the PlayStation Store entry is a mistake.
Oh ok, so that’s why it’s $40...
We have seen other games costs as much, some even more. It all depends on how much effort was put into it but the screenshots look good.
Take me down to the paradise city Where the fps is stable and the graphics are pretty Take me home (oh won't you please take me home) Take me down to the paradise city Where the price is cheap and EA ain’t greedy Take me home (oh won't you please take me home)
jaymacx - You, sir, are now the GOAT.
Good ! Because Activision have ruined Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered.
There was no reason why that game should have been remastered with only some of the content. Sad
Why 40 bucks at least make it 20 only gripes
For the size the game is, with all DLC, $40 seems a fair price to me.
amazing EA, really Amazing. But foerever or only in the first months?
Exactly. MTs confirmed.
@UltraNova MTs confirmed where? They categorically denied any MTs in the game! Some people feel the NEED to be negative! Jesus!
@ Obscure-Observer For having the word "Observer" in your name you don't do well with picking on sarcasm, huh?
Corndog you beat me to it. I should be using this } /s more often...
Good, the way it should be.
I guess it is a force of habit.
What’s the catch not enough servers ,a lot of lag ,no beta tested and a 5 gig patch day one
Thank god. Remasters remakes, and fully priced games should have no m.t.'s or lootboxes except dlc and downloadable content pertaining to skins.
But the REMASTERED game IS full price. EA screwed up again.
$40 w/ all the DLC packaged in is not full price.
For an old game that they fast-patch some textures and promise no MT to make up for their shitty losses on BF2? Sure is.
Maths is hard
Sure but Skyrim get a pass for $60.
So much for games are to expensive to make MT's are needed blah blah blah. Sure it's a remaster but effort still has to be put in people still got to be paid. It's not a case of someone at EA putting the burnout PS3 disk into a computer and clicking a convert to PS4 button.
It's probably a straight port from the PC version. Have you seen the graphics? Not much have been updated.
PC version is also getting a remaster.
i for one wanted other burnout games because paradise got boring pretty fast and it doesn't even include all the DLC how can you remaster the game and not include all it's content
Because, their plan is probably to sell the DLC, as Remastered DLC.
Every single piece of DLC is included in Paradise.
Blaq No sir it isn't The re-release will include most of the game’s DLC, with the eight paid and free updates from the ‘Year of Paradise’ season – minus the pay-to-unlock-everything Time Savers DLC
"Yesterday, EA announced a remaster of 'Burnout Paradise', which will contain all the DLCs of the time in addition to the main game." ?
What dlc is it missing?
The Time Saver dlc which unlocks all the cars instantly instead of you unlocking them by progressing through the game.
Sucks that we have to celebrate something like this when it should be a given for a remaster to not feature DLC. Activision just couldn’t resist with MWR...
It's sad they have to even say that, no game should have microtransactions. If they want more money, make meaningful DLC / Expansions.
I couldn’t care if they did I just wouldn’t use them it’s not hard. Had it been Criterion fine as they deserve it for making this great game they never wanted to charge for the extras when they first released it none of it not even the extra island it was only EA’s insistance that forced them to charge for it. I’m all for supporting great games from great developers and extra content months years after release majority of which was free to start. EA tho who were purely publishers can jog on.
I've been playing this game a lot lately on Xone Backwards Compatibility, and there's still many people playing online. I'm not sure if the remaster is necessary for Xbox owners, since the original game still looks rather good, and has really smooth gameplay.
Guys, please be cautious buying into this. It's not like this is rebuilt from the ground up for this generation of hardware. It seems more like an easy cash grab. Also, check out Onrush if you're aching for a new arcade racer. It looks wonderful.
No shit, the original never had microtransactions either....
Imagine if the original was released during today’s time instead. Burnout would have been done for just like NFS.
Thank God. Including microtransactions in full games including remasters is idiotic.
Is it for real this time? or is EA gonna add them later on like they did with SW Battlefront 2?
After watching the trailer, I’m a disappointed, I don’t know what it is but to me the trailer didn’t look like a remaster, don’t get never wrong I’m looking forward to this game but I’m just a little skeptical about the graphics.
Burnout Paradise remastered has NO microtransactions soooooooo do this mean next NFS will NOT!!! have MT?? time will tell Ea learned from SW fiasco.
Loot boxes are the worst thing to ever happen to gaming. Even without purchase able currency.
I'm glad, but it sucks that I'm still skeptical it's permanent or there's a catch.
Great, remaster this game, it is an awesome game. Please EA, Ramake Burnout 3: Takedown, one of the greatest games.
