Bayonetta 1 and 2 Switch Version More Expensive Than Wii U Version in Japan

A strange thing involving Bayonetta 1 and 2's pricing on Nintendo Switch has been spotted in Japan.

There is something similar in the US as well. If we isolate the games, Bayonetta 2 cost $50 on the Switch eShop while it is priced $30 on the Wii U eShop. Sure, thanks to the disccount mechanics of the Switch release, if you buy Bayo & Bayo 2 together you will ended up paying just $60, but if you're only interested in the second game (which is exclusive to Nintendo) then you'll have pay a lot more on the Switch than you would have on the Wii U.

Tropical Freeze originally launched for 49.99 on Wii U. I remember!
If they charge 60 I'll be mad, thats just a slap in the face to us ex-Wii U owners who are still waiting for new content on the Switch and aren't tided over by the two re-releases that are coming.

A port for the Nintendo Switch will be released on May 4, 2018. It will include single Joy-Con support, an extra hit point for all playable characters and vehicles, and Funky Kong as a playable character.

Alright, well niche stuff.. it's not revolutionizing the game like SotC, a full fking remake for $40 on a much more powerful platform. Just saying. I'd probably buy it on the Switch, but for the people re-buying it, wow.

I'm not against the game, I have played it, I like it, I like PlatinumGames, just saying the pricing is like a full game when the difference is not like like PS2 to PS3(remaster), or PS3 to PS4, X360 to XB1X(4K super sampled). It's closer to a PS4 to PS Pro type of difference(probably not even). Great for new adopters, sure, support the developers/publishers and their bank roll if you have the money, but the Wii U for 1/4 or less the price used is just as good if you're ok with not having CO-OP and some other gimmicky additions. Nintendo just angers me with their pricing, they have never once surprised me.
