Arcades are still a booming phenomenon in Japan, and during GameSpot staff's visits to these collections of shiny lights and ringing bells, they noticed that fighting games and 2D shoot-em-ups were in no short supply. Sadly, while fighting games still get plenty of attention in the US, old-fashioned scrolling shooters don't seem to capture the same degree of focus. Fortunately, Xbox Live Arcade is the perfect home for such games, and GameSpot has already seen Japanese arcade shooters ported to the Xbox 360. And with luck, another such game will be seeing the light of day: Ketsui, a vertically-scrolling shooter from developer Cave.
This week, M2 announced that Cave shooter Ketsui, ported to PS4 as Ketsui Deathtiny, is getting a North American release in the near future.
Hardcore Gamer: If you transitioned from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One, you may want to consider: importing a NTSC-J Xbox 360.
Mages is bringing Cave shooter Ketsui to PlayStation 3. Ketsui: Severing the Bonds of Hell Extra is a port of the Xbox 360 release with X-Mode.
