I went with the frame rate setting. Yup, the overall visuals take a hit, but everything moves better. It ain’t 60fps, but it’s noticibly better. The resolution setting looks the cleanest but has stuttering and frame drops and the graphics setting both moved and looked like shit. So, frame rate wins.

So what you're saying is that it has a crappy stuttery framerate no matter what setting you choose?

DaFeelz2656d ago (Edited 2656d ago )

Nah, the frame rate setting handles it fine. I do think that this game needed more time in the oven for optimization. I really don’t see anything that this game is doing that the X can’t handle. It’s not bad, but it isn’t what it can be. Luckily, gameplay supersedes graphics in this case. Hopefully, future performance patches can rectify this. No biggie.

Im using resolution mode. It looks clean and runs smooth just fine.

Its not 60fps but its not bad either.

I’m with you DaFeelz, Frame rate setting for me on my 1X. I wish the PC version wasn’t so far off because I’d really like to be able to max the graphics at 60fps, I’m surprised how poorl optimised thr game is.

Belinker3002656d ago

Is that on the Xbox One X? Guess it falls inline with the Pro performance, unlocked frames. They should cap it to 30 fps on all modes if it can't sustain 60

I'm really not a fan of the disappearing/transparent foliage that games like this one, Uncharted 4 and The Witcher 3 employ. It detracts from the sense of solidity and believability of the world. I much prefer the way games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Horizon handle it.

nice,.. it even works on a dead console,.. good job Capcom.

He's been in most, if not all the games and is iconic to the series. I guess he can be considered the unofficial mascot but every game has its own unique monster as the poster boy.

Because you had fun. I started Monster Hunter with my son on PSP 17 years ago. We put a ton of hours into the games since then. Never did I look back at any game I’ve sunk a lot of hours into and think, I might regret having all that fun.
