Review – Furi (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

Bunnies, katanas and EDM

WTMG's Leo Faria writes: "The main issue with Furi lies in its short duration. While it’s a somewhat challenging title, and some fights can take a handful of attempts, there isn’t much else to the game other than the fights themselves. Sure, you can unlock a speedrun mode and attempt your best against all the bosses all over again, as well as varied difficulty settings, but that’s all that’s available for you: ten (very entertaining) fights, end of story. Furi can be a bit replayable, but its severely short duration hinders what could have been a phenomenal action title, something even better than it already is. There aren’t that many slightly harder games out there for the Switch, so if you’re looking for a bit of a challenge, Furi is for you. Just make sure to remember that this challenge won’t last for long."

Furi Contains The Single Most Energetic Soundtrack Ever Conceived In Gaming

Out of hundreds of hype-inducing music, Furi absolutely destroys the competition with one of the best soundtracks in gaming.

I honestly love Doom's soundtrack as well, but Furi has a way of captivating me wayyyyy more with its music.

The boss fights, the art design and the soundtrack in Furi are amazing. It's one of my favourite games from last gen (has a PS5 version too). "Underrated" is thrown around a lot but this game is definitely underrated.

It’s the reason I bought the game. The game itself is good too. But the soundtrack is superb.

So is Hotline Miami’s.

The Nature and Nurture of Furi

Furi’s tale of The Stranger fighting his way out of a celestial prison is not simply one of escape, but one of an outsider with only the language of violence, learning humanity.

After coming to and end with Returnal I'm looking to get back into this.
In Japan they want 100 Yen to upgrade (?) from PS4 to PS5 version. Has anyone here played the PS5 version?

BlackDoomAx1072d ago

Not yet, but I added it for free to my library.

In Japan the upgrade costs 100 Yen. Not a lot of money but I wonder if it is worth it. Also bugs me that Japan has to pay for these. Subnautica and Crash Bandicoot 4 are the same.
