At this point, DKC:TF is the only game I'll be buying for my Switch this year (Unless Fire Emblem releases). I'll have to wait and see with Mario Tennis Aces. Meanwhile I could name 25+ PS4 releases coming in 2018 that I can't wait to play.
Hahaha, while I like PS4 and Xbox, I feel the same way about many of the games..I can remember falling asleep on MGS4 on PS3, me and my brother still joke about it.
That's another reason why I find it hard to be impressed with Sony's or MS' conferences any more..it's like movie after movie. It looks great and I do like many of the games but I definitely prefer Nintendo's style of gaming...almost magical and all FUN!
Lol wut? Probably dont own a ps4 and havent played any of the exclusives huh. And I guess youre not one for core story heavy games if you hate cutscenes so much, have fun with your casual arcadey simple games lol. I guess Amy Hennig was right about people not wanting story heavy singleplayer games looking at your agrees smh. Love both my ps4 and switch, so no fanboy here.
So you aren’t excited for No More Hero, Exclusive Tales of, Bayonetta 1+2, Project Octopath, Kirby, Yoshi, Hyrule Warriors, Dark Soul Portable, and the potential releases of Smash, Animal Crossing, SMTV, Bayonetta 3, Metriod 4, and Pokemon?
Sound to me like you don’t even own a Switch to be honest. Because if you do, you’ll know that there are more to the Switch this year than Donkey Kong.
Only games on that list I'm getting for sure is Octopath because I love FF and it kinda reminds me of the classic ones. Yoshi because I'm a big fan of yoshi's island and always pray another yoshi game that good can be made Hyrule because my rule is I need a dynasty warriors game or clone on every console I get no matter what (I'm actually serious, I always own a mosou style game on everything if available, was going to get FEW but forgot it released then heard about this and said screw that) only a new smash not a rerelease but that won't be this year, and pokemon if this year though I doubt it. plus DK TF
I'm hoping the port does well enough that they'll make another one. I think Tropical Freeze sold a lot less than Nintendo were expecting, and they've put the series on hold because of it :(
Who to say that they aren’t making a new one? Retro has been quiet for a long while now (Since 2014 to be exact). I doubt they are just sitting on their asses doing nothing. They will announce something soon, most likely at E3.
I say let them. I'm just grinning right now that Nintendo fanboys are eating crows after calling the PS4 the RemasterStation 4. now all they are drooling at are remasters of Wii U games in the effort of Nintendo to erase the existence of the Wii U.
I always find it kind of insane that people tend to lump every fan of a console together like they're all one person or hivemind. Don't you find that mindset a bit schizophrenic? There's nothing wrong with remasters. Gives a new generation a chance to play a superior version of a game, and fills out the library at minimal cost to developers and publishers. Wins for everyone. If consoles going forward remain backwards compatible, or run on the same operating system(like I expect Xbox to do), these games five years down the line could simply get new texture and resolution patches to stay updated and relevant. Also, the Switch is doing better than anyone ever even hoped for. I doubt many Nintendo fans feel like they're eating crow right now.
You are getting this abit too over your head buddy. During my years on N4G I rarely see people call the Ps4 “RemasterStation 4”. And the difference between the remasters on the ps4/xbox one to the Switch is not alot of people had owned the WiiU, unlike the predecessors of aforementioned consoles. So naturally people would be excited to play those remastered games.
And why would they want to erase the existence of the WiiU exactly? I really wonder when people say that.
nah...not getting it over my head at all. I find it ironic, really. That's all I felt as I've been called a fanboy before by saying I like games KZSF, Knack and Infamous SS in the PS4 early days by those calling the "PS4 has no games but remasters" back then and RemasterStation 4 was a thing back then too. you would know if you joined N4G before 2017!
It's a really good (and incredibly difficult) game that not many people played. Porting Wii U games ever is a smart and obvious decision. I'm still hoping for a Zelda two-pack consisting of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and Smash 4 Deluxe.
Nice, can't wait to play this.

Couldn't even bother to make a new one.
God i hate this game, so stupidly hard that it was frustrating... not fun.
