How to properly install and configure Kodi for Xbox One

Kodi is finally here on the Xbox after a 5-year hiatus! YAY!

For those not familiar with Kodi, it is a program that works as an audio and media player. Kodi can allow you to play locally-stored files, either via your home network or other files stored through companies online servers.

got my Chromecast plugged in for pass through so pretty sure firestick wont be an issue. not by choice, i just ran out of HDMIs, dam consoles grrrrr

as long as you push a button on the fire stick it should come on. go to the live tv part of your xbox as well. also make sure the power is connected @cfc83

Yes... you sure can i have a jailbroken firestick...with everything from Kodi 18, Kodinolimit, Mobdro, Terrarium TV, free Sports pay-preview over a 1000 live channels and game emulators from Happy Chic, Sega, SNES, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, Lynx etc. it's great to have on the Xbox One but i'll run it from my Firestick.

I've been using it since it came out and it's been good, looking forward to more improvements like support for remote controls (you can only use the controller for now)

a couple of bugs i encountered were the up arrow on the controller getting stuck. (exiting out of kodi fixes this.) also, the home menu disappeared. you can hear it slide in and the screen dims as if it's there but it's not. (doing a hard reset on the xbox fixes this.) not complaining since it is an alpha app but it is on the right track.
