"Dark Souls Remastered will not include new assets based on the Dark Souls 3 engine"

so does that mean that the XB1/PS4/Switch versions will be identical minus the framerate?

Pantz2295d ago

I think you can expect it to run best on Xbox One X.

Babadook72295d ago (Edited 2295d ago )

I think you can also expect to not see a difference from pro without zooming into part of the screen.

NoPeace_Walker2295d ago

Water is wet. Of course it will run best on the most powerful console ever made...just like Every multiplat games so far on consoles. That will be the version I'll be getting.

"Dark Souls Remastered will not include new assets based on the Dark Souls 3 engine"

Is it just my my poor reading comprehension or does this quote sound like they are also retracting the statement about the remaster being built on the DS3 engine?

DEEBO2295d ago

That's dumb.
60fps must be too taxing.

Fishy Fingers2295d ago (Edited 2295d ago )

HDR doesn’t require additional hardware resources. Inclusion shouldn’t effect frame rate

Shineon2295d ago

Thats just sad, Sony should of added more than 1 extra gig of ram.If it wasent for exclusives my pro would be in the trash

RememberThe3572295d ago

lol Try a CPU stronger than the Cell.

moegooner882295d ago (Edited 2295d ago )

Because the other remastered versions have HDR lighting? Try again

LgbtWarrior2295d ago

The game had excellent lighting regardless. Would have been nicer to include it but going to 60fps from 30 is worth it for the souls series as the timing, parrying is strict as hell. Every frame counts. Dark 2, while not my fave in the series, remaster was outstanding in 60fps.

My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.

Killer2020UK271d ago

I literally just came here to post this. That music in the Resi 1 safe rooms is playing in my head.

Rimeskeem271d ago

I was thinking TLOU work benches. Although I remember one time where it was a false security.

Perfect. 👌👌

I'd add the top of my highrise apartment in GTA Online. That calm, quiet peace, just knowing as soon as I step out that door I will be bombarded by 8 and 12 year olds calling each other n**** and f****, trolled by combat jets and rocket launchers.

The entire map of SotC is peaceful as hell. Used to just ride around exploring it.

mastershredder271d ago (Edited 271d ago )

Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.

The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.

RPGer270d ago

Kingdom Hearts tend to present half peaceful areas and most of them are amazing.

Easiest Boss Fights in Games That Aren't Easy

Patches is 'dim-witted'? I don't know about that. That's what he wants you to think maybe.

I don't remember TW3 bosses being easy but I played it on Death March and a crippled peasant armed with a broken twig could one hit kill you.
