Kefka till this day remains the best FF villain.

NecrumOddBoy2702d ago

So it is a dude cosplaying as a girl cosplaying as a dude?

Vanfernal2700d ago (Edited 2700d ago )

He looks like as if he was cosplaying a version of Kefka drawn by Tetsuya Nomura. Honestly, I'm tired of Nomura's girly men. I think there's cosplay out there that better capture the essence of the character. (Pic related).

Touché
Nomura is fantastic as a designer, but it wouldn’t hurt to ‘butch’ them up at least a little bit.
I don’t care if it’s a cultural thing, badass Japanese men do not look like women with boy band haircuts and eyeliner(hence, Sonny Chiba, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan etc...).

Great example of the cosplayed Kefka btw. Kefka is the ‘Joker’ of the FF universe(the most bat-shit crazy awesome-even if you win he still wins in some way villain). Has anyone ever confused Joker with being a woman?

gangsta_red2700d ago

Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee were Chinese...but one out of three you listed is on point.

ameliabaz2700d ago

That's a pretty cool cosplay and more accurate to the official character design. Though I also like the cosplay in the article as an artistic interpretation of Kefka. It's not too outlandish that he would wear something like that, what with his love of makeup and obsession with himself.

I want to see Kefka and Ardyn side by side

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Review – The Returners Return

Gary Green said: We Europeans got royally screwed with the releases of the first six Final Fantasy games. I’m sure you’d find plenty of dodgy imports or bootlegs if you looked hard enough, but we never actually got a proper release for any of them, at least not for the first editions. There was a lot of xenophobia in gaming at the time, so anything Japanese getting released in the west at all was nothing short of a miracle. It was an ugly trend that continued well into the 2000s when worldwide releases became the new norm.

FFVI is a timeless classic, surely one of the best games ever created.

_Decadent_Descent413d ago

I really do wish they'd give it the FF7R treatment.

phoenixwing413d ago

Ff6 is probably the most deserving for that

Cacabunga413d ago

Octopath traveller or Star Ocean remake treatment would fit it better i think

FinalFantasyFanatic412d ago

I'd rather it play more or less the same by have the 3D chibi graphics from Ever Crisis, I don't want them to change the story like they did with FF7R.
